  11. Like i said in the article - i was genuinely impressed with Sappco paint protection. The 2 best bits were the ease of application and the hard shell like finish it leaves It would be great to hear from anyone else that has used it ...
  12. SAPPCO IS NO LONGER TRADING/images/sappco_1.jpg We trialled the Sappco Paint Protection system and to see how it performed in comparisson to traditional paint protection methods such as meguiars paint cleaner and tech wax.. The 2 step Sappco process is a pretty simple. 1st step the paint cleaner, very easy to apply, like a good lightly abrasive polish it worked well on sratches and scuffs. The paint cleaner was easy to buff off even after we let it cure for longer than we should have. The paint was noticeably darker after step 1 and most scratches and swirls were taken care of. 2nd step is the acrylic sealer which is meant to react with the paint cleaner, It was slippery yet very easy to apply in an even layer. Once cured the final buff was once again really easy, it was much easier to buff off than traditional waxes, which is great for lazy people with no arm muscles. Taking a step back from the car to check out our handiwork - The initial result was very impressive, the car had noticeably become darker and had a really deep shine. 24 hours later I gave it a good scratch with my fingernails and unlike wax it was a struggle to leave any marks. 3 weeks later .... the paint maintains a deep lustre and water still beads of the surface. The weather has been terrible since the Sappco treatment and the car lives outside but I have found that the car maintains it's shine and watermarks don't seem to hold as much as with other wax products, this is good for NZ weather. Additionally dust and dirt just don't stick to the surface, it has maintained a very hard shell coating which seems to repel dust. Overall I was very impressed with the product, and that is saying something coming from using meguiars techwax. The acrylic forumla works well, is very easy to apply and gives a shine that rivals tech wax. The real test will be to see if it outlasts traditional the paint protection methods .... /images/sappco_2.jpg

  16. Very nice car - is the new owner here???
  17. xnet is ok - it is the best value but their customer service is hopeless Compass - customer service was so terrible, it was like dealing with another species they were so retarded. Never even ended up using them. I heard somewhere Vodafone is doing an ADSL2 and phone line deal with 20GB/month data for $90 at the moment - pretty damn good deal ... the catch is the 24 month term but still good nonetheless. I can't comment on the power companies
  18. hahaha rude. the picture of the completed car with the top down looks ok .... but still epic fail
  19. wow i hadn't checked the price! f**k that. Only for the true fans then aye. Can you make one for the AMB timing systems James? we could release a bmw race series version. haha
  20. Soft Pauer Ltd has announced the launch of its official Formula One Timing and Track Positioning Application for iPhone and iPod touch users. This unique application allows fans to simultaneously track the progress of all cars in real time on a dynamic track map which offers a variety of views of the circuit, including the unique ability to see a bird's eye view of the action. The data is taken directly from the official timing feeds generated at each circuit, giving the user unprecedented portable access to the information used by race engineers in the pit lane, with the added ability to track the individual driver of your choice. So for the first time, fans will be able to get a full, detailed picture of the racing action wherever they are. Otmar Szafnauer, CEO of Soft Pauer commented: “We're very pleased to offer fans an added dimension to the experience of watching Grands Prix. We hope that they will take advantage of this new opportunity to get a full picture of the racing action wherever they go.” Bernie Ecclestone commented: “I’m very excited by this application as it will allow fans to keep in touch with what is going on whilst on the move.” For full specification and prices via the iTunes store, click here.
  21. why so big ? would it not negatively affect the handling? especially in the front? I think it's pretty cool but ... why? I reckon you just like a challenge luke ... you're going to have to do quite a bit of work to make them work. but i'm looking forward to the result as i'm sure it'll be good. The obvious is a massive flaring of the guards but the rest of the car will need to fit in with the new look as well - somehow I see the sideskirts being an even bigger challenge. That blue mtech 2 that Simon posted is awesome, you should aim for that. badass
