  1. Yeah 17x8 and 17x9 with 235/45s front and 255/40s rear I think. They were on my E34 when I bought it but quickly replaced with ACS Type IIs! No idea what a decent price would be. Basically brand new tyres so quite a few hundreds of dollars? Make me an offer I can't refuse!
  2. ^agreed, they're definitely bastards to clean and I wouldn't buy them. Although I do have a set of four 17s with almost brand new tyres I'd let go for a decent price
  3. Hey they're pretty damn huge alright.. that being said there are parking sensors everywhere so you've gotta be doing pretty badly to hit anything. No excuses for not leaving details
  4. Bit off topic but you sound like the expert - what route do you usually take and how long does it take you? Must be a nice drive in the middle of the night
  5. I thought you must have meant 52,000 but it's actually 52..
  6. That's an interesting Wellington sighting considering I saw that same plate at Greenlane McDonalds (Auckland) last weekend. Must get around a bit! I was so intrigued I spent 5 minutes looking around and somehow forgot to take a photo or post on this thread.
  7. Probably Howard's, I hear he frequents such areas. Can confirm it is nice as
  8. Sooo unconvincing from the Brazilians but Croatia were great, new tournament favourites once Mandzukic is back?
  9. Saw DaveO's E60 M5 parked up at Madills after football this afternoon looking like an absolute beast.
  10. I have some 17" Style 32s sitting around on near-new tyres

    E34 M5 3.6L

It is indeed. http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=903 Very, very tempting. I'll probably end up thinking about it too long and it'll be gone tomorrow. Or today. Wouldn't be surprising.
  12. I'm no expert but from my experience insurers don't like insuring mods when they go further than wheels or a sound system, especially when their value is too high relative to the value of the car. I had my E34 insured for $3k with State until I bought my exhaust, which came to about $1.5k after Customs took their cut. State wouldn't insure that so referred me to NAC who specialise in insuring modified vehicles. So far I've had no major problems with them. My RRS is insured with State and I would definitely recommend them if they will insure your modifications, otherwise I guess NAC.
  13. Spotted this good-looking E34 525i Touring in Orakei tonight: Seems to be pretty well taken care of - CarJam has some photos of it in mint condition, presumably from when it last changed hands on TM.
  14. Wouldn't you call that a 550i? I would love to call mine a 544i someday.. We need to get all of these together and take some photos!
  15. Welcome to the E34 540i with AC Schnitzer Type IIs club! Hope to see you at all the Auckland events, I have often been the only E34 there recently. $2.5k is a steal alright! I was stoked to get mine for $3k almost a year ago now. Haha what kind of fuel economy are you used to? I usually do around 14L/100km around town (not babying though) and could get it down to ~10L open road. I think both those figures are pretty awful considering many cars these days do about half that. Not that you buy one of these to save money though!

    E34 ACS 540i

Those Type IIIs look amazing, heaps better than the Type Is for me. I think I'll always be a Type II man though. Stickers were for this year's Cannonball Run, best photo I have on my work laptop.
  17. 'Don't be just another Range Rover Sport owner' I find very insulting given that you wouldn't be able to get near one for that price.. but yes there must be a 1 missing from the front. I think these are about as rare as the owner makes out but I can think of a lot of things I'd rather do with that money. Interestingly the majority of that listing has been copied word for word from this listing. EDIT: and it's been taken down, good work policing TradeMe guys
  18. Keep me updated, could be very keen!
  19. How much does he want for the E34?
  20. Bit early for me Andy, I'll probably place an order with you next time round.
  21. And how much did that cost you Mike? Whichever V8 I'm in that's about $40 worth!
  22. Also I take much offence with this; although my E34 has no airbags, anyone who's ever crashed one will know how well they hold up in an accident.. VERY structurally sound. And they are in no way ugly!!!
  23. This could be a good option (and no I'm not connected to this sale in any way). Couple of airbags, V6, towbar, 2 (presumably NZ) owners.. could be a bargain, you never know with a low reserve.
  24. Fair enough if you know the full story. Pictures would certainly go a long way.. All I can say is if I personally was looking at spending that kind of money in that market segment I would be going for Dave's E39 M5 instead
  25. I knew I'd seen that email address before! What is this guy up to..
