  1. That is the saddest thing about the market for these cars these days. I know I will get a lot more money if I'll part the whole thing... But I cannot do it to a car I love some much as a whole. I just hope someone will see how much love has been put in it and buy to enjoy it and make it even better.
  2. The time has come to put my beloved M3 up for sale. I am building a house next year and potentially getting married. So I will really need my finances to be top notch to go forward with the next stage of my life. Most of you already know the car… It is a special order E36 M3 95 Euro on Genuine M5 Staggered Throwing Stars (Polished Lip). Black metallic colour. The car has full tanned-leather interior from factory (in very good condition) no rips, a little worn on the driver’s side as expected for this age, but has been very very very well looked after by me (I am genuinely crazy about the looks of my car). It has 140k km on the clock, has been used for daily driving. This car has been treated like a princess; fully services every 5000km (engine oil Castrol 10w60 and oil filter change with Genuine oil filters), all other filters and coolant has been recently changed as well. I have spent more than 20k on this car during six years of ownership. Stereo: Pioneer Head-unit with Bluetooth hands-free capability, usb and Iphone compatible, multi coloured display and buttons (to perfectly match the amber BMW lighting) Brand new Infinity stereo system (front and rear speakers, twitters and a 10” sub in the boot with all the brackets to mount it) Brand new Genuine BMW mid-range tweeters Interior: Brand new Genuine BMW ZHP weighted shift knob Brand new Genuine BMW Z-roadster short shift kit New AKG sifter mounts (to create more direct shift and last much longer than standard) Brand new Genuine BMW light switch New polished aluminium cluster rings (very hard to get, custom made and imported from Germany) Brand new Genuine BMW clutch and brake pedals and pedal pads, AKG non-squeak pedal bushings Brand new Genuine BMW glove box plastic panel to reduce the saaaaggg Exterior: Brand new Genuine BMW clear side and front repeaters and clear rear tail lights Brand new plastic panel that goes below the windscreen (the one that always brakes on the sun) New Phillips xenon lights on the low beams (4300k, not blue fully legal) New Umnitza Predator Orion V2 Angel eyes Brand new Genuine BMW rear and front glass rubbers and seals Brand new Genuine BMW plastic door handle covers with seals Engine: Brand new Mishimoto silicone hoses Brand new thermostat New radiator plug New fun clutch New Genuine BMW drive belt and AC belt Genuine Reconditioned BMW Alternator Brand new Genuine BMW engine mounts E21 gearbox rubber mounts with AKG aluminium mounting cups All new Genuine Gearbox and Engine mounts’ bolts and washers Suspension: New front lower control arm bushes (I have brand new AKG poly bushes to go in, will come with the car) Brand new Genuine BMW front lower control arms (terribly expensive) New adjustable White Line front and rear swaybars with urethane bushes and new sway bar links New AKG rear sub frame, diff mounts and Rear Trailing Arm Bushes Brand new Lemforder rear strut mounts AC Schnitzer rear stutbar Brand new Genuine BMW front X-brace Brand new FK Silver-X coilovers (Koni struts, stainless steal bodies) these are height and dumper adjustable, developed on the Nuremberg Ring, have lots of very good reviews from US E46 M3 users, so they must be good Brand new HD Myele rear strut mounts (much stronger than standard) Brand new Genuine BMW front strut mounts from E36 M3 Evo (installed on the opposite side will give you extra 2 degrees of negative camber) Brand new Genuine BMW front strut mounts Z-coupe reinforcement plates Brand new Turner Motorsport rear adjustable lower control arms with rubber bushings All brand new Genuine BMW nuts and bolts required to install all the components I think that is pretty much it. I am sure I have forgotten something, but you get the idea. I want $17,500 ONO for the whole lot. I will not separate any of these parts or components. Car is in Christchurch, PM me if you would like to have a look at it. Have recently bought all of these parts and they are all in my garage waiting to be put on this baby: All new power steering hoses and bolts. WTB - E36 M3

I agree about an M3. It is one of the most balanced performance cars in the world. I doubt that you would be able to build a better performance car for an M3 kind of money. Maybe straight line performance... but durability and an overall performance I doubt that. Just my 2c

    WTB - E36 M3

I guess it's fair... It depends what you are after. I just though if you after a decent M3 I have one and just got engaged, so might be willing to part with it to pay off the ring lol the price will be very reasonable for what it is

    WTB - E36 M3

I might be willing to sell mine. It had a lot of work done. All suspension brand new, all bushes and bolts etc brand new, new alternator, awesome new infinity stereo with pioneer head unit (worth $1200 new), new fan coupling clutch. A lot of work done. All services (diff (new seals oil, plugs etc), gearbox, coolant, power steering, bake fluid and brake hoses, thermostat) done. New radiator hoses, new shifter from Z3 roadster. Interior is one of the best I've ever seen. The car is black sits on M5 staggered throwing stars (almost impossible to find) with polished lips in perfect condition. Very very well looked after. Driven consistently, didn't just sit in a garage and rot, but only has 138k. It would be slightly above cheaper M3s on trademe, but as I said anything you could think of doing on it is already done. You can just sit down and drive it and enjoy it.
  10. Ok guys. I think I have decided... I am going to go for an E46 M3... There are a few reasons: No. 1 it has a straight six )) lol To me it is an iconic engine. Especially in an M3. And I feel it resonates with me. )) No. 2 I will be able to fix it myself. This one is a biggy to me. I love working on my cars. I love understanding how they work. Unfortunately I feel a little uneducated in relation to new technologies to trust myself with an E92 and new V8 technology. However I will drive both E46 and E92 to make the final decision. So my next move now is to find a buyer for my E36 M3. If you know anyone, who might be interested in a very well looked after M3 please let me know. Thank you for your input guys. I really appreciate it a lot!
  11. Thank you guys so much for putting your opinions out there. I appreciate it a lot. To clarify I love my E36 M3, I have had it for quite a while and have built it into something amazing. However I feel that I have reached my potential with it and I want something a little newer. I want to have a car which feels complete in every way. It will be used for everyday for short trips and a long trip every now and then. I like to work on my cars, so one of the things I would ask, which one of the two do you feel is easier to work on. I know old cars quite well, but I understand once you go to a newer car it is a whole another game with all the sensors and computers. I love straight six, although I can not say NO to a BMW V8, if you know what I mean. Another thing, I would like to take my future car to a track every once in a while. What are your opinions on, which car would be more fun on a track. Finally, I am a family guy and as much as I like to think that it doesn't matter, it does. I like to stick to my cars for a while, so the question is, which one of the two will be more appropriate for a family. Thank you all again.
  12. What are you upgrading to if it is not a secret?
  13. Hey guys!!! I haven't posted in a while... I wanted to get your oppinion on the ownership of an E46 M3 and E90 or E92 M3. Everything counts. I might have an opportunity to upgrade from my E36 M3, so I would like to hear your oppinion on both models. Thank you
  14. I have 18s off my M3, same model. 8J front 9J back. 1000Firm. Have pics if you are interested. Here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/38400-e36-m3-30-95-euro-for-sale/ Can e-mail more pics if interested.
  15. Yes they will fit all E36 perfectly. Pictures sent.
  16. Yeap Have staggered set of Throwing stars on it now... and brand new suspension etc )) The rest is getting restored and kept stock
  17. See here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/38400-e36-m3-30-95-euro-for-sale/, how they look on the car. Cheers
  18. I have a rear set of BBS RG's. They are E36 M3 propper fitment, came as a custom option on my car. 8J at the front and 9J at the back. I want 1k for them. I have photos I can e-mail if he is interested. Cheers
  19. No I've dropped the price slightly to 21k.
  20. Hey there. I think mine will be slightly above his budget as it is much more than just a normal M3 Here is the link to my old post for sale. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/38400-e36-m3-30-95-euro-for-sale/ The car has now all the listed stuff installed and set up... It has got fully reconditioned Staggered Set of Forged Throwing Stars with polished lips. There are also other things that have been done recently, e.g. new alternator, new silicone coolant hoses, new power steering hoses and oil, new gear box oil etc.. This is most likely to be the best well looked after, and best set up M3 on the market. It currently sits at 138k kms.
  21. Whats your mates budget??? I might be thinking to sell mine to fund an engagement ring etc... Although it is not a NZ-new car, but it is in more prestine condition than a lot of other m3s out there.
  22. I am running FK SilverLine Plus X Coilover System. These are adjustable KONI struts (rebound adjustable) with stainless steal bodies. I am using my car on a daily bases and take it to the local track every now and then, and I couldn't be happier with them!!! Overall, very good ride for our post war Christchurch roads, amazing on a highway. They are also very "forgiving" on a track, but still a massive improvement from stock. However I must note I have rebuilt my entire suspension, I am running AKG bushes all around (where available), turner motorsport adjustable rear lower arms, new from lover control arms, and all my other bushes are changed for new Genuine BMW bushes. I have also installed reversed M3 Evo top hats and Z-roadster reinforcement plates for the struts, and White Line sway bars. )))
  23. Why are you leaving the brand What about your CSL?
