If you've already got the rs232 cable you may as well get an rs232 to usb cable, they're fairly cheap on trademe, and you already know it will work (assuming you don't get a faulty cable)

Did this with mine a few months ago and still working fine, though I only resoldered the capacitor and a few other joints that were a bit loose (didn't bother replacing it). Well done on getting it working again

Hey guys, Looking at getting the M-Sport rear bumper for my car, as it is the only piece missing. What I was wondering was whether the bumper differs between these, or only the diffuser(?) at the bottom. Have been looking at a few pics and ones i've seen around town and they seem very similar. Hey guys, Thought I'd post up the results of getting backed into a while back. I got the bonnet replaced and the bumper and nose panel repainted (had heaps of stone chips). Only downside is its showing up the rest of the paintjob now. Before: After: Now: Has anyone had to re-adjust their bonnet on an E36? I'm not sure how to go about doing this, have tried adjusting the latches, but this then changes the way it closes aswell? If anyones got any ideas would be awesome. Cheers Jeff

The problem with the transmission is limited only to the JATCOs, fairly sure they only come in the 5 speed (and only on the 6's) flavour out of Japan.... e: ^^ yeah, what he said
