    Sunday car wash

First weekend with my new ride and i got my bro in to teach me a thing or two about how to wash a car. 5 hours later!
  4. test, unsure of why this thread is needed tho
  5. alrighty, cheers. I can confirm the seals look pretty top notch, rust near lids latch is all i see but the surface rust deep in the boot (near seats) concerns me a bit aye :/ e: my aerial is there (water is predominantly showing on the passengers side) aerial is on drivers side.
  6. This is probably the most concerning problem i have at the moment. I found water under the carpet in the boot and also the foam right at the back under the carpet had soaked up quite a bit. I dried it up but today i opened up the boot to find condensation covering the whole underside of the boot lid. i thought water may have got in from somewhere but now condensation? I've never seen this before. any ideas?
  7. it's probably like mine and has no AUX but a line-in at the back of the unit. i have an rca to 3.5mm jack going from the unit into my glove box. I had to change 'CD changer' mode, which was default to 'line in' inside of the heads units menu.
  8. legend guys, thanks for pointing me in the right direction i had to change from CD changer to Line-In pumping the beats now
  9. couldn't find it but then realized the JVC KD-G405 uses the same manual as the 455 which i have....and there is one on the net downloading now
  10. well, whats the jack in the glove box for?
  11. sh*t yea, body is very tidy, some small things inside which are a bit untidy but nothing to worry about. i do have a question though, this is what mr dodgy owner stated in his auction " JVC headunit with MP3 CD, Aux in (through back, used to have my netbook connected to it, but use your iphone, ipod or whatever you fancy) " I cannot for the life of me find any aux option on the head units so the 3.5mm jack is useless to me at the mo. if the cable is coming from the back do i need to look for a line out option or something? the photos on TM are the same JVC unit so i doubt he swapped it. any ideas?
  12. What a mission aye? thought id just let you know it's now sefely with me and have already begun the 'to do list' haha. Thanks for all the support. here are some snaps (bloody small ass garage) Oh btw, check out what i found under the BMW center caps
  13. i probably would have too but an e28 is just as cool
  14. Far out mark! This is why i'm glad you're my bro (btw, he just said 'job after school' purely to rhyme) i do have a real job
  15. no way i'm telling them to go faster.
  16. well he is overseas now so i doubt he will care for his job or trademe account, but oh well. folks say there is a very loud whistle coming from the sun roof haha! must be a specific wind direction i love this car already
  17. i will, to bad trademe only allow 500 character feedback now. i can barely convey the point O.K after a sh*t load of editing this is all i could come up with (i used all 500 characters) Despite the fact we agreed the car would be sent to me and I would pay the full price as soon as it arrived, he instead placed it on his own car lot. After I reminded him of his legal obligations he agreed to honour the deal. It wasn’t that simple, while my car was at HIS dealership he apparently incurred a $600 fee to pay for advertising. But being the nice guy he is he paid 1/2 of this most likely bull sh*t bill and forced me to pay an extra $300 before he'd let me have the car. What a tosser!
  18. thanks John, you're the man. It's the least i could do. I hope 60 was enough to cover the trip bloody 2.8 haha. So, now i have my car i'm thinking of something along these lines for my feedback on trademe. Thoughts? Forget my positive feedback, I only wrote that to ensure the deal when through. Now that the car is safely in my possession I can speak my mind. This guy advertised his car at $1 reserve and I won the auction. He was clearly unhappy with the price, and despite the fact we had an agreement that the car would be sent to New Plymouth (at my expense) and I would pay the full price as soon as it arrived, he instead placed it on his own car lot, Tower Ford in Hawera. It was clear he was pissed that I got it so cheaply and he obviously had no intention of letting me have it. It was only after I reminded him of his legal obligations that he agreed to honour the deal. But it wasn’t that simple, during the time my car was at HIS dealership he apparently incurred an expense of $600 to pay for grooming and advertising. But being the nice guy he is he paid half of this most likely bull sh*t bill of $600 and I forked out an extra $300 to ensure I got the car send to me. With all do respect, this guys is a huuuge tosser, Don’t trade with him.
  19. haha, and after reading it back, that is so true all the questions seemed to have been removed
  20. i dunno mark, they are lacking in uniqueness at the mo
  21. yea i remember now, i congratulated him on picking an overcast day, perfect conditions for an out door shoot
  22. nope, link me so i can critique it its not the red E30 is it?
  23. thanks for the welcomes! I think Mark figured most of it out himself. I've given him some tips here and there but i like to think I'm still regarded as the 'photographer' of the family + i have a better camera so take that! haha. Ill make sure we go out for an E30/E28 photo shoot when i get the car next weekend. here is an example of what happens when all you can think about is getting your new car!
  24. cheers bro, but to be brutally honest i did that in like 5 mins and am waiting till i actually get this car so i can photograph the sh*t out of it
