Yep. Could be keen on the gaiter (is it plain black or)? And the badges are front & rear specific? (I think the boot is slightly different).

I know you are Auckland, but.... I got 2x front seats in very good condition. They are the standard E30 seats (not recaro & not leather). Plain grey cloth. Rails & adjustments work good. They are in my 320i I just bought (see my showroom thread). Will put photos up if interested? Will sell for Offers (so whatever you would pay).

Will see how much $ I got after payday (for the handle). Will have to think about the badge, not worried about Gen or Copy - its just a badge to me & no one knows the difference without close inspection. But will be intouch.

Nah. I dont see anhy 320i or 325i Manuals, no rust, sunroof, crackless dash, rims & tyres for UNDER 2G. I see heaps of boring 318i and 320 autos for OVER 2G but dont have what I got. I will take better photos (before I commence work) to show how it is (auction photos not that good). Paint is fine with a few nicks here n there (a good buff would work) and the dents are not major - so yes I do care about bodywork, I dont want a rust POS (like my 318) or a dented up n bashed up E30. You'll see, will do the photos when I get a chance to. Oh, and Cert the buckies? Nah man, I been using it for ages in the 318 without the cops & wof men saying anything (mind you only had one cop pull me up in the last year lol). And nah, not ungrading the motor. Need to get rid of the f--king INspire & get my Probe on the road - then maybe do some major work to the 320i.

Just picked it up today, had a good drive home. Seems fine, apart from the idle issue (no biggy). http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=498784937 - for current photos. So basically as you see it & described. Im going to do the following (remove the stuff from the mattblack one then hock it off). Interior:- Install Bucket Seats. Swap Rear Seat (mine has armrest & mint). Leather Trimmed Handle & Leather Surround. Bosskit & S/Wheel. Floor Mats. Install All Sounds. Black Door Trims. Door Lock Knobs. Parcel tray & Histop Light. Exterior:- Smiley Headlights & Foglights. Tail Lights. And Indicators. F&R Bumpers (318 ones are tidier). Front Valance & iS Lip over (this valance is bent etc). Rear apron/cover thing (forget what its called). Change rego plates (so new Govt ones for the 318). Further Mods/Repairs:- Get dents removed & full polish (has NO rust and NO paint fade). Only Rust spots on sunroof to be removed. New floor carpet. Exhaust system. Need a winder for the sunroof. New gearknob, pedal covers & gear stick gaitor. New BMW badges (I wont debadge this one). And then just tidy up the motor (eg polish etc). So this is going to be fun. Much nicer than my 318i (and NO rust to worry about)! EXTRA Bonuses:- 17" Rims (a tiny bit of marks nothing major). Lowered. Sunroof. NO cracks in the dashboard (only 1 that is like 1mm big)! Cambelt also done recently. Towbar. So not a bad score I reckon. And also, me & my mate think its got an LSD in it - how do I check? Or just find a nice grass patch lol.

Mean. What price are they on eBay? In USD so thats "almost" 2x NZD? And are they the M3 copy or do they have various options? I remember buying the "gaiter" and the handbrake one from a US guy but that was ages ago & not sure who it is now...and I sold the gearboot gaiter (didnt have a manual - but I do now, picking it up today). Will start a thread when I get it.

OK need to update this post. I now have: -fresh carpet to put in - shot Kerry. (now to wait for some nice weather to fit it). -a new gearstick gaiter (just waiting for it now) - shot JayCee -and also got my winder handle & other bits n pieces sorted just waiting for a total price (some guy on TM). Now all I need is some Badges & a Gear Knob. Still weighing up whether to pay top price or just buy budget ones. They are seriously just badges to me & have no real value. I only intend to keep them cos the 318i looks rangi with the bog coming out of the badge holes lol so I dont wanna do that to my 320i. Anybody maybe got some second hand roundels lying around that are NOT faded/peeling? CHEAP. Mine have no more colour in the middle only the BMW on the outside. And by cheap I mean less than $10ea (there are some inferior new ones on Trademe for $14 so will buy them unless I can get cheaper).

And now the helpful guys come out. Will have another look, havent had time this week to do anything (working nightshift then getting up 3hrs later to take kids to school). Will have a go this weekend. Cheers for the tips guys. At least there is some people on here that are serious. And the comment about a mean mod, yeah it could be but if a ever so slightly lean on it, it goes off. So kind of annoying lol And I didnt just take the wheel off, I changed the ignition, but I did do the reverse and put it all back as it came off which is why I was lost. And it is an a/m wheel & horn button - proper E30 a/m bosskit. I've had this on for about 3 years now. I've taken the wheel off heaps to try different wheels here & there and never had this problem before.

If you want showroom condition maybe take some plain cloth headrests to a auto retrimmer to do some for you.

When I put my new ignition in yesterday, after reassembling it all, the horn button doesnt work (a/m wheel & button) but if I push the actual wheel the horn goes. WTF? Im sure I wired it all up properly, can someone maybe take their wheel off & show a photo so I can double check I done it right? Im pretty sure I did, not rocket science.

Not today, but yesterday. I put in my smiley headlights & full lockset that I bought off Matt (selling those rare items). All works great. Still to do door locks when I figure it out (cant seem to reach up inside).

Hes being sarcastic, as in ricers adding mods to their car to gain HP when its not a performance mod But back to topic, are these the actual angel eyes that repalce the whole headlight or the DIY version that you have to open up your existing lights?

Dont need much room to part out? Just list an auction on Trademe saying ask for a part and only remove the part when its sold. Just park the car on the lawn out of the way. Once he has sold the main items as listed above (wheels, seats, bumpers), scrap it or tow to a wreckers and ask what they'll pay - maybe $500 half stripped.

Shot Glenn, best I go check mine although the passengerside doesnt leak. Driverside does. So should I check the same areas just driverside? Mine leaks hardout, floor almost floods so in summer I just leave car open to dry it out.

Wow, she was stripped fast! Cant wait for my lights to arrive and install them - and my new lock set. Shot for the deal Matt. I definitely suggest keeping the plates alive and list it on TM as a shell - maybe $1R it or do an ad for offers? Not many E3s around that are rust free - ideal race car or rebuild if someone is keen to swap parts over. Dont scrap it.

Yep definitely recommend. High workmanship. Fits sweet but I use cableties - way easier. Definitely worth $70.

Just curious, whats your TM username? I assume you were one of the last minute bidders in those wars? Seems you may have won a few items?
