Are you happy to make these on a "to order" basis? EG someone orders, pays, you make then ship? As I would be so KEEN as to buy one but I just wont have $200 to just flick away straight away - will have to wait until I sell my Inspire. So do you do that? Make to Order? Let me know if you, and I will PM you when I got the $$. Q:1: how thick are they? I assume, as they are f'glass, if you hit the ground a tad hard or whatever it will just smash it - just like a f'glass b/k? Q:2: in the photos, is that attached to the factory lip? If thats so, can the f'glass lip be attached to the clips for the factory lip? As my lip is gone (guttered as cos it was on there when I got the car then a week later it was gone) - dont wanna buy another lip just so I can fit this? Cheers Shady

No way! Putting a Rotor in a BMW is a disgrace. OK, I get the point 99% of people on here hate Chromes on BMWs, but a Rotor in a BMW? Thats even lower. Camo? nevermind that...go the Matt! haha And Cutties...ahhh. been there done that. One thing I hated was the constant knocking cos the springs werent captive. And then a month or so later, got a Pinky...not cool anymore.

How much would you want for the lot so I can do a complete conversion? EG: pedals, clutch, box, gearshift, etc etc - whatever is needed. What price Im looking at?

1 x Getrag 240 Gearbox, Race Series 318i box no rattles, whines etc $350 ono, can come with short shift kit too Is that box only? Or does it come with everything else? My 318i is Auto, would love to convert to Manual. Have you got everything that would be required to swap?

Im not trying to push that Chromes are mean or gangsta whatever. I was just after opinions. We are all entitled to our own opinions and I accepted your guys & girls op's so accept mine! And yes, having Chromes can make or break the car. And that Torana, I have to admit, looks so wrong with the Chromes - should be Polished. Its a muscle car - not a roller.

As a previous poster said, the rack may be damaged. Steering sometimes gets stiff when I turn left, I have to jerk it back...

I can sorta see your point you say here. BUT, Polished rims are so damn hard to keep shiney & clean. Chromed rims are way more simpler...just wash often and be fine. Polished whole different story.

As my Honda, thats gonna be sold soon, I bought it had troubles with the guy transporting it so I just wanna get rid of it (not gonna get into the story be here all night) so anways. And as for the fully Chromed out pic on page 1- HOLY S--T.

That would look so how do I put it....tacky? Id rather the real thing...would look more unique with polished alloy knobs. Will match my gearknob also.

But the old E30s have factory chrome around the windows and doors...so thats 2 things from factory and having chrome rims can help set the factory chrome off (make it more noticable)...well I think anyway.

How is chrome ricey though? I thought rice was, performance wanna-be enhancements eg- BIG wings, Shopping list on doors, Bonnet scoops on non-turbos, roof scoops, etc. I can see what you mean by going overboard with it, but Chromes can sometimes look better than plain alloy rims. But I guess it also depends on what else has been done to the car? If the engine isnt souped up, and car is build for show, then Chromes is the way to go....

Just wanting to know. Why are so many of you anti-chrome? I reckon Chrome is what makes a BMW!? Otherwise BMW wouldnt have Chrome from factory? Just looking for opinions. Mine is, that Chrome is wicked, if used properly... But HEY thats MY opinion...whats yours?!

Nothings wrong with them. I just want to do stuff to my BMW to make it different from the rest...you know, thats what modifying your is about? Doing what you like... So anybody know how to remove the caps? Not the entire stalks, just the ends.

Happened to a BMW my mate bought ages ago. The release had broken like that too, he just used some pliers to pull the cable.

Well I successfully removed it all. Just got the bit in the dash left...leave for another day

Sorry, just butting in. Why not just make speaker pods for the doors? Thats what im going to do soon. Rather than chopping up the door trims and risking f--king it up, make a pod for the speaker & then just screw it to the door?

I'd say take it to an Authorised BMW Repairer. But for a quick fix for the histop light, try disconnect the wire. As for the radio, thats where it becomes a Sparkies job.

Anybody know how to remove the end caps so I can put these on (search ID on Trademe) = 234181108. Am thinking of buying a pair, but am unsure how to remove the caps? I took the ends on (they popped off) but cant figure out how to remove the rest of it without breaking it off. He told me (a while ago via Q&A) they are removable by simply unclipping, but I cant figure it out...anybody?
