Gee Doug, you'll be a VAG man before you know it. You guys must almost have as many VAG's and BMW's? This ur quattro is a nicer car and a better buy than the red one: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-238751855.htm One of the owners of the white ur quattro was Jock Styles Father Allan (RIP both of them).

How rare are NZ new E30 Tourings?
Golfboy666GTI replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in General Discussion
I think it would come up ok with some TLC Doug, if it was a manual I would have made him an offer, do have a manual box sitting at home though . . . -
Ive seen a few floating around TM of late but came across a NZ new 1989 320 Auto Touring parked behind my office today. It looked like a real work horse, full of tools and wood, the paint is flat but the body seems straightish. Whats something like this worth (done 300,000 odd kms)? And how rare are NZ new Tourings?

Ive had a few spam PM's come through, one was deleted by admin, another one from member mirfirker wasnt.

A good read, enjoy: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/doc.asp?c=161&i=19345

E30 M3 values will stay strong IMO. A few have been imported from Japan over the last few years, they have now gone up in value over there. $2,000,000yen ($45,000ish NZ) gets you a nice 87 model, then you have to land it and do all the other stuff required to get it on the road.

I just wanted to double check my memory with you guys. If I recall correctly BMW NZ released the E36 BMW 318is Motorsport around the end of 97 or 98 here is an example here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=195753096 I believe this was released to celebrate Paul Morris and Craig Baird winning the 1997 2.0 race at Bathurst in a E36 Super Tourer. However this team was disqualified as Baird had violated a race rule prohibiting drivers from driving more than 210 consecutive minutes in any one stint. The race was awarded to teammates David and Geoff Brabham. BMW still released the above cars to celebrate the win, I think I recall seeing ads in the print that played on this. Does anyone recall this and the release of the E36 BMW 318is Motorsport? Was it a limited run car? If so does anyone know the numbers of them in NZ?

Im guessing thats coming from someone that has driven both . . . . ? The E30 M3 is still one of the greatest chassis of all time, leaves the E46 in the shade for driver feedback and thrills.

Looks a nice car: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-186315597.htm

Well done HELLBM. Looks to be a nice car. I was going to bid on it but my dream car popped, an Audi RS2 so I purchased that instead.

Is CrazyArab's M3 a one owner? If not how do you know they havent been replaced? Weve had a 2 94 3.0 M3's and one 95 3.0 M3, all nz new. All had factory indictors in them. The Blue 95 was a one owner before we got it, it had orange indicators all round. The first purple 94 had factory clears in the front and oranges everywhere else (so I put oranges back into it), the second purple 94 had factory clears all round. My take on this was that someone was trying to update in. Unless youve know a said car from new you have know idea. Now, back to talking about the red E36 M3 at Turners . . . Oh, and I might put my hand up for another, or should I hold out for E36 325 auto? Hard call . . .
-
As Doug says, its the cheapest NZ new E60 M5. They dont pop up at Turners every day of the week so I thought Id post a link. Is that fine with you Graeme?
-
Its done twice the kms and has had the engine replaced for the same money . . .

No, all 3.0's were orange. The said car at Turners could make for a good Targa car if its cheap enough. Being a repo though you would have to wonder if the money has been spent on it in regards to servicing. IE, couldnt afford to replace flog lights so pull them out.

Cheers Does anyone know what any M325i's have been sold for of late so I can get an idea of value?
-
How do you tell if you are dealing with a real M325i? Is there a certain VIN number for M325i's? What are the specs of them? Suspension, LSD, seats, steering wheel, gearknob, wheels, bodykit? Anything else? Also, were M325i's built at the factory or at local dealers? Finally, what are your thoughts of pricing for these cars? Is it just me or does $9k-$12k seem to be a little high when you can buy E36 M3s for as little as $14.5?

The red M3 is my Fathers, the black M3 is his mates. The black car lives in HN, the red car in Napier.
-
Is there an easier way to look at this forum? I mean I look at a topic and have to click of each response instead of strolling down? Also, when I click on search say for E30 M3, nothing comes up? What am I doing wrong?

I have a set of standard E38 16 inch BBS wheels (the rims with the round center cap). My question is, can I fit older, classic rectangular BBS/BMW nut cover to these wheels?
