  1. Hmmmm. I dunno, I just want to stick with factory BMW wheels and they seem like the best choice to me. I haven't seen even seen one around with them on it so I'm not really too concerned if everyone "wants" them or not. I like style 19's but I think 17" looks a bit small on e36's. Other than that some 3 piece ACS type 2's would be epic but they cost far more than I'm willing to spend. What size tyres, are they the staggered 8/9" set? And what would you consider a "decent price" You guys have got me thinking too much now haha, show me a better style that's not impossible to find and I'll consider it
  2. On Facebook? What page etc can you send me the link?
  3. Part 6 is slightly different to that diagram it extends further back and meets up with part 14. That's where the difference lies. No your gear shifter surround stays, Just everything back from the hazard switch onwards. Will pm you pics soon just uploading now. The ashtrays just pull out and can be replaced with little storage cups. You'll see these in my pics also
  4. Yup, you need the whole center console as the rear of it moulds into the frame for the armrest. I made this mistake and just bought the armrest part separately. Thankfully it was from someone on BS and they still had the rest so I bought that off them too. If you want some detailed pics of my one PM me. I know some decent pics would have helped me when I bought mine
  5. Nope both are the same. The one in my car now is from a sedan
  6. He's just emailed me asking if I know someone who can pick up for me. If someone is keen to pick them up and hold until I sort postage will chuck some $$ their way and be forever grateful haha. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. If I find new wheels for my car soon I'll have my style 67 reps for sale. 18x8 I think. They're in my sig below....
  8. Hey guys, Am after a set of Style 32's, Preferably 18" set Will consider anything, whats out there?
  9. I accepted the fixed price offer on these then he tells me it's "pick-up only" when auction details said shipping to be arranged. I asked if he would mind shipping if I sorted it all out. Still said no....... wanker
  10. Look at the first post in this thread it has the options there (e.g nz european plate which I'm assuming you're after - the first plate picture in the first post) or check out www.germanplates.com for a full list of choices. Then you can choose a plate frame which will mount the plates to a vehicle. These come in two options: *Plain black with no lettering *Black with "BMW Autohaus Munichen" printed on them (has an "M" logo and BMW symbols too I think) - These look quite cool there is a picture somewhere in this thread of a members' car with these on if you look back through it Hope this helps Edit: Pics of BMW frames on page 40 of this thread
  11. Don't think this is the same, it's more of a vibration than a shudder. Can feel it from under the seat as well so pretty sure it's from the driveshaft. Will keep that in mind though cheersSent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. That's the plan at some point! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  13. Nah where abouts are they? Haven't seen any of those cars around. I'm directly opposite the school. My neighbours are Korean but they drive a corolla
  14. Nice, sometimes the minimalist look is cool, and yours is pulling it off. Looks sweet with those roof racks! Welcome
  15. Good to know, thanks will check it out
  16. I didn't even know that website existed thanks for that.... It appears to be listed unless I'm reading wrong?? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BG22&mospid=47431&btnr=26_0105&hg=26&fg=10
  17. For a while now my e36 328i coupe has had a shudder under acceleration (usually around 3-4k rpm), and worsens depending on how much load the car is under (passengers - more weight, and harder acceleration). I did some research and came to the conclusion it was probably a worn flex joint/guibo. Now's where I get confused.... I dropped the exhaust and heat shield down enough so I could see to inspect it and there appears to not be one in there at all???? I then tried to research whether automatic is much different to manual (mine is auto) and couldn't find anything. So my question is, should there be a flex disc in here or not? I noted also there was some white paint applied to the 3 bolts that attach the driveshaft to the transmission (not sure what that means - I figured it's because they've taken it off previously I dunno) I've tried to get the best photos I could without actually dropping the exhaust right off. I've also taken a photo of the visible splines where the driveshaft splits mid-way down. My thinking was if a flex joint was installed those splines would not be visible as they would slide further into the other end of the shaft. Any help would be appreciated!
  18. Definitely keen on rears. Haven't decided on fronts yet I'm kind of 2 minds about it. Keep us updated on progress and I may send you a pm about fronts when I make up my mind haha Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  19. Update on the rears? Keen as when they are complete
  20. Yeah we have a hoist at work and a whole heap of tools etc which is really handy! Had a look at the power steering and I'm pretty sure it was the exact same issue as yours. I replaced the two oetiker clamps at the base of the reservoir with worm drive clamps as there was definitely a leak there, although it was hard to distinguish which hose so I just replaced them both. You guys aren't wrong they are a real PITA but I just grabbed hold of them with a pair of sidecutters and twisted them until they unclamped. It's hard to see what you're doing so I just went mongrel on them haha. There was a lot of power steering fluid running down both hoses so it was very hard to see whether the crimped end was leaking also (one end already had a worm drive clamp in place so the previous owner has obviously also had this issue before and tried the same fix), but I gave the whole area a good clean and am pretty sure it was only leaking from the top. Those oetiker clamps are absolutely useless, I could turn both hoses reasonably easily with the clamps in place. Will check tomorrow for any leaks but I'm pretty sure it's fixed. If there's still a leak I'll go all out and replace both hoses with all new fittings
  21. Have just discovered this thread and had a good read through the whole thing, interesting read will definitely keep following your progress. My e36 also has a power steering leak which has gotten worse suddenly over the last week also. I'm beginning to discover all these "common issues" one by one, as this is my first time owning a BMW. So I enjoy reading threads like these that have a lot of details on even the smallest of jobs so cheers for that! Hopefully mine is the same issue and is an easy fix, will chuck it up on the hoist tomorrow.
  22. Yeah I saw that, ran the VIN and checked all the optionals also Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
