  1. Waipoua Forest, Mangamuka's, Old Russel Road. Paparoa - Oakleigh. Lucky Bugger ... I think I'll be dusting off the R1 next weekend.

    1991 E31 850i

    Looks good!
  3. Could certain models of wheel have another set of holes drilled "in between" the existing, like the "multi fit" aftermarket rims?
  4. I don't think he's including the motor or auto. Just the parts to make it a bolt in or near bolt in swap. I.E. The hard part. Looking at the design of the trans mount would be a doddle to convert for another box.
  5. Yeah I bought it as a 2nd car for me to get to work in winter. And save some miles and gas on the 4WD. Now it's always the 1st choice for me and the wife. We like it so much I've got a coupe as a bit of a tinker/toy, another coupe as spares. And looking at trading the Pajero on an X5 or 5 series . I still need to put new pics up, but the car is always in use (and filthy).
  6. There's a guy selling parts off that car on trademe (the black one with Tan interior and the window spoiler). Shame he's not willing to ship, the tan interior looks good.
  7. Awesome ! - love the repair photos.

    BMW E36 328i

Looks good! What tire sizes on the 40's? And what work has been done to clear the guards?
  9. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?615864-344i-almost-complete About half way through they come up with a pretty clever option for sump clearance after issues with dry sump, leaving oil pump in default location and modifying pickup.
  10. And this is where you say "Nope! , keen to buy at $3220" , and he doesn't get a refund (had it happen to me, guy wouldn't make contact, until I requested refund, luckily he went through with the trade after that). then when he re-lists, you win again for $3200, rinse repeat, all above board. And in the meantime we can all ask stupid questions on his auctions...
  11. Yeah same crowd. Discussed with the previous owner and not sure if theres any good bits. Might be just the cover.
  12. Terrible photos ...
  13. Thanks Yeah the car has had a pretty extensive cooling system overhaul, thermostat and housing, water pump, fan and clutch, radiator , rad bottle etc. As well as shock mounts, trailing arm bushes, engine mounts, and lots of other bits that are quite common. Has 5-6 year history from BMWorkshop. I've got some pictures of when I bought it, have since fitted MSport bumpers, and fixed a couple of small things (leccy seat, sunroof). Needs a clean so will fire some more pics in the weekend.
  14. Hi, Recently acquired my 1st (and 2nd) bmw. An E36 328 sedan with m contours and some m bling on it. Bought as a cheap weekend/2nd car as I'm a bike guy from way back. but already the bug has hit, planning maintenance and upgrades. As well as what the next bmw will be cheers, James
  15. Hi, Auckland - must update profile.
  16. Just editted the 1st post - 323i - none that I can see but no external leaking. Has rego till July, WOF is out.
  17. Hi, Have a '96 E36 323i Coupe in Montreal Blue for sale, auto, 140km. M-Sport "Twist" style side skirts and M-Sport door trims, Have been told it has M-Sport suspension as well? (sits lower than standard). Has a set of 5 16" Factory wheels with good tread. Sport half-leather interior , no rips, bolsters still "full" looking, some grey/fading from wear though. Tinted Windows. Bad Points - Is using water - roughly 1/2 a litre for 2 hours driving. Previous owner replaced Radiator and Fill bottle with brand new items recently but damage had been done, not sure if head and/or gasket. Body is overall quite tidy, but has a previous repair lifting on the RR Quarter, can see bare metal where it;s lifting so needs attention. Head Liner and trim have sagged. Sunroof doesn't work (mechanically it's fine, but the motor/relay is dead). Drivers window doesn't open. I bought it for the Front and Rear bumpers , couldn't find a set in Blue so I went this route, got tucked a bit on the head gasket so it's ended up costing me more than it would have buying used (but at least they're the right colour). $1500 ono, would consider parting. Cheers, James
