Not a huge fan of the i8, dont like electric cars at the moment (design a bit ugly). The technologys just not good enough to replace the combustion engine. Then again amazing economy with a almost non existant carbon footprint, then again I would rather drive your V12 than an electric car. Regardless of fuel economy and enviromental footprints!

Thats so true, however I presume if TopGear was kept factual and had little/no entertainment in it i.e explosions, crashes ect, it would not have near as many viewers? but then again what would I know!?

I wouldn't say Clarkson is arrogant at all, in fact a very down to earth guy. Top gear atm has got the highest ratings in its history, however i would def agree with you that he has a unique view of things lol

Most of the passats are great cars, stay away from the W8 Passats tho, they have serious transmission issues

They weren't that bad, build quality was good however components and mechanical sensors were shocking. Better build quality than late 90's BMW hands down. No sagging hood lining, dull headlights, airbag sensors and false obc warnings! I love BMW, however Mercedes in the 90's hands down had a build quality worlds ahead, however im not sure about the 00's ...

Imo, for 25k you could import a Maserati Quattroporte from uk which is a lot cooler than the Audi. and btw, the 5.2 v10 only has 450hp not 530!

Thats a downside to all euros, i.e an ignition module for my car is 7k! I spose its not a lambo v10, and id say lambo prices would apply!? At the end of the day, if I had 24k i'd have to buy it, regardless if I could afford to maintain it...its a impulse!

Anyone know anything about the mk5 gti golf? They are for sale for as little as 7.5k, thats for a 230hp 2005+ GTI! You know, one thing i love about BMW is that unlike most car company's they actually care about the cars they've previously built and the enthusiasts behind them. Was watching this video about the E31 on BMW's YouTube channel and makes you think that they are not just out to sell you the newest thing to try and milk money out of you. When you think of it, BMW underpowered the 5.0l v12 so much, it had only about 15 more hp than the v8. Mercedes v12 engine at the same era had 400hp...wonder why they underpowered it so much? Then again the benz v12's were 6litre

Yes, I looked at one and decided that the 500 was a better car, only 60hp power difference and the v12s had wiring harness issues, and other issues. So the v8 was a better option on the r129, however on the e31, thats a different story!

Awesome cars, love the engine and the fact that the design was not only for aesthetics but with aerodynamics in mind. Need to have a drive in a e31 or that e34 v12 wagon! Next car will definitely have to have a v12 in it!
