  1. Had my E61 550 radio Nav and Bluetooth with USB and iPod updated by Autogravity on Friday. REALLY HAPPY, awesome job and great having genuine BMW setup running. Use to having very latest Jap ICE gear and this while 7 years old was worth ever cent and highly comparable. Guys there where really helpful and did a great job, fully giving me all the options and choices. Had a few hundred kms over the weekend and totally brilliant Highly recommend !!!
  2. That is truely EPIC! I want it.
  3. Totally mental, figured they never rebuilt the car after it was trashed as well LOL, Never used indicators if they did.
  4. Run flats should have RSC in a circle on them
  5. Duh Forgot to add I have an 18 page 'so you just bought a E60' PDF I can flick you, PM me your email, it's loaded with all the info, US but still relevant. Although still opinion but useful, try not to let it scare you off LOL
  6. These Torneos are always on the hot to nick lists, Hope he gets it back ok, or not at all rather then be trashed, b@&$)d's
  7. Hi there, can't comment on costs yet but we've had a 550i touring 2007 for a month now, beautiful car and the drive of the v8 is worth it!!! We live rural so mainly open road stuff, getting exactly 10km/l on the trip computer so really stoked with that Personally prefer the wagon shape to the sedan and needed a wagon, but no doubt the sedan is quieter still. From what I read prior to purchase the motor is pretty robust and I've only got 50k on mine so suspension and alike should be a while away yet. PPI came out no issues even! Check tyres for run flats and especially the spare, the replacements spare is hard to get and expensive for a normal setup. Your looking post LCI and that also seems the best option from all opinions read but again a price difference for it to justify Auto gravity doing an ICE fix next week for us to sort the radio out, keep a couple grand for that Had an E39 540 a while back and while I loved it, but like all nice things it did cost and it had a few Ks on it, but these things are also never going to be cheap to run, just by their nature. Good luck and happy buying, post some pics if you go ahead
  8. Be great to see some pics. I loved my 540 but it did cost to keep it sweet, still miss it though all the same ... Sounds like you've got a good start with NZ Motorsport as the base
  9. Defuses bangles rear end, I think it's nicer then the sedan
  10. Four hours of sweet, a clay bar, polish and clear coat, stage one clean to get a decent finish on this bad boy done. Some detail work under the bonnet and around the base and inside doors but happy to have some decent protection on this now for the summer. Can't really see on pics but a pretty nice reflection on the navy metallic paintwork now ? Loving it
  11. Just came back today from a run to Tauranga from Waikato in my E500 2006. Super cruisy didn't speed but shot up the hill PDQ, still got 10.8 km per 100ks without trying for the round trip 220ks just over quarter tank so pretty happy. Yes there's some noise around forums about the airmatic suspension but at the price was a risk I was happy to take. Smoother then our E60 but doesn't handle anywhere near it or have the snot still 225kw is useful all the same for passing and super quiet. I don't seeing it getting the flick anytime soon
  12. Hi there I've got a E500 it was to cheap to pass up, now the mrs has got a E60 550i but the merc does 9-10l per 100ks, took a it of mucking about eith aftermarket audio, but 5ks done now and really cruise ride
  13. Man your epic, get job. Totally satisfying I bet
  14. Most of my info on it centres around what's been said in these forums, having such unique jap imports to deal with means the kiwis really do seem to have the answers other sites have no idea on Looks like a change of radio and Nav controller required, likely Bluetooth as well, I'll update as I go, got some funds to make it happen very early new year
  15. Finally convinced the financial controller, ie wife, that a 550i wagon is a great all round vehicle. Pick it up tomorrow and can't wait. Already bringing back fond memories of my E39 540. Great to see such a lively NZ forum going, can't wait to participate and see what mods and works get done. Here's a pic from the dealer, ex Japan so some work on the ICE gear coming up in the near future. have to say the forum has so far helped a heap in my knowledge gaps, thank you all!!
