I am on my way to finishing my PPL right now at North Shore. Did my solo few months ago and its definately an experience I will never forget. Have logged 21 PIC hours. Currently still underaged (17) from getting the license till August so I am trying to log as much hours as possible. I just need to sit the human factors exam and everything will be sussed out for when I turn 17. My uncle is a Qantas 747 captain. He is going to be retiring later this year to be a instructor. He did it through cadetship way back in the 70's and says its a very competitive market out there especially these days. After NCEA level 2 this year, I am gonna try to apply cadeship for airlines like Singapore, Malaysia,Cathay, Air Asia, Etihad, Jetstar. If I dont get in this year then I continue year 13 whilst getting my CPL and go Uni to get a degree in preferably Aeronautical Enginnering. Story of my life

Its a 02/98 model. Hotwire has informed me that pre 09/98 models are programmable via buttons. I am still trying to look for that combination of buttons right now through Google however not much luck atm

Hey guys, I got the 4:3 TV setup in the E39 and I know this is may be a bad idea to some however I would like to know how can I get my TV to work whilst moving? Do I need a separate interface to plug in (?) or is it just a simple DIY job? Cheers Nick

Performance wise, nope. I am happy with the normal performance of the car at the moment considering my age/experience and this is my first car.

0-100 time in a stock 530i is about 8 seconds for an auto if not less. Not sure about the minimum octane but I have used 91 before and it goes sweet

Got some from Wairau Paints today. Bout 20 bucks for a little touch up bottle. Still not 100% match with car paint cause of age/sun fade etc but its protection not perfection.

Are they pricey from the dealers? I've seen some on Supercheap like these? Are those good?

Hey guys, I got a few scratches around the car that have been bothering me lately so I m thinking about using touch up paint. There is a little tiny scratch at the rear bumper where the paint has chipped off so its just the black stuff left. I have never used it before so do you any advises/tips regarding using touch up paint? Cheers Nick

Saw what I thought to be was a MINT E39 M5 (with dish BBS's) with the badge, quad exhaust n bodykit at a carpark in Newmarket. Walked up to check it out and saw the REGO which then turned out it was a 520i Peeked in and it was an auto..... LOL!
