Thanks Kees. Will be having a look at those soon if nothing else comes up. I'm just conscious that one wheel needs a tidy up and I'd be up for a new set of tyres as well. If I recall correctly, there was someone in the south island selling a staggered set of 5 with good tyres in the last year or so. Pretty sure they didn't sell and would be keen to catch up with them. Cheers.

Hi. I'm after a set of Style 21 wheels. Staggered preferred but square set ok. Prefer something that doesn't need to be refurbished. Cheers. Dean.

Pulled this one from my M90 last week. Elring 1.72mm. Coolant passages partly covered.
-
Will do.

That paint and panel work is spectacular. Hoping to start a mechanical resto on my later this year.
-
Thanks Geordie. I appreciate it. It'll take me a couple of weeks to put a list together.
-
Thanks Geordie. Love the E3. Sorry, i should have elaborated. I have those parts as well, as the car is complete. I'm looking for new/near new service parts e.g. bushes, lowered springs, shock absorbers, brake boosters, caliper kits, etc. Cheers.

Hi. I'm considering a mechanical restoration of an E9. Basically suspension, brakes and steering. Please let me know if you have parts you'd consider getting rid of before I start putting together an overseas order. Will consider other parts as well. Cheers.

Hi. For sale: Staggered set of 16x7 ET20 and 16x8 ET23 Style 5 wheels. Tyres are 235x60x16 and 225x55x16. The tyres are in poor condition. The rims are in good condition. Also included in this sale are 3 x 16x7 ET20 wheels, with Hifly tyres in good condition. These rims have curbing and dents. $900 for the lot. Cheers.

Hi. Looking for a pair of 5x120 17x9 ET26 RC090 barrels or wheels. Would consider them as part of a set if necessary. Cheers. Dean.

Hi. I'm after a rust-free driver's door for my E32. I'm based in Hamilton and am willing to travel a reasonable distance to pick it up. Cheers.

No worries. Had a mint sunroof panel in atlantis-blau. I have the bonnet and boot but unfortunately not in the colour you're seeking.
-
Are you looking for a particular colour?

Hi. Sorry, sold on Saturday.
-
All sorted now. 😃
-
Thanks Ben. I've got them on the watchlist as a possible 2nd option to another set I'm chasing.

Wanted to buy: Two E38 Style 5 wheels in 16x8 and ET23. Don't need tyres or the centre caps but will take them if available. TIA

Hi. Has anyone got a 4HP22 transmission laying around in good condition that I could use in a 1990 735il (M30 engine)? I bought the car for parts but it's in better condition than I anticipated so I'm wondering whether it's worth putting it back on the road. Transmission slips badly in all forward gears, reverse is fine so I'm suspecting the clutch pack. Previous owner changed the oil and cleaned the filter but that made no difference. Cheers. Dean.

NZ New 2-Door BMW E30 325i 180,433km. WOF expired 3 August 2022. Rego expired 1 June 2022, and is on hold. Interior in excellent condition. Getrag 260 gearbox, fitted with short shifter. 3.64 ratio diff. Tinted windows. Alpine stereo with Sherwood speakers. Comes with additional wiring supplied but not fitted for hands free microphone and auxiliary devices. Manual sunroof. Electric front windows. Pop-out rear windows. Air conditioning fitted but not operational. I have not investigated what is required to get it going. Textured plastic dash cap is fitted on top of cracked dash. No rust. No diff, gearbox, engine, steering oil leaks. The pictures don't show it but the paint is starting to fade. No clear coat pealing. Engine 2.8 litre, managed by MegaSquirt fuel injection. Ported aftermarket head. 288 Shrick camshaft. Quite a lumpy idle. 12:1 compression ratio which means car has been tuned on BP 98 octane fuel. I would not use lower octane fuel if you want this engine to last. Engine revs incredibly quickly, has incredible torque, and is a lot quicker than the standard M20B25. Engine professionally built. I do not know by who. Unsure of km on new engine as previous owner had it built, at a reported cost of $12,000. Extractors. Large twin exhaust. Not obnoxiously loud. Electric radiator fan replaces mechanical fan. Newly machined flywheel, and new heavy-duty clutch fitted. Suspension Bilstein B8 shock absorbers. Jamex springs. Solid rubber lower control arm bushes. Factory fitted rear sway bar. Adjustable rear castor. Replaced: diff oil, gearbox oil, engine oil and filter at 179,426km, rocker cover gasket and camshaft plugs, coolant, cam belt at 179,426km, front engine oil seals/o-rings and gaskets, thermostat, radiator expansion tank and level sensor, wiper blades, fuel filter, bonnet insulation, clutch master cylinder reservoir, brake fluid, brake booster, oil return tube o-rings and intake/cylinder heads gaskets, rear sway bar drop links, 8x seat gas struts, clutch master and slave cylinders, driver seat belt with new one. Wheel alignment. Car does not come with the basketweave wheels pictured. Car will come with refurbished bottle cap wheels fitted with warrantable tyres (the wheels and tyres it got its warrant of fitness with). The fuel economy gauge does not work because it’s no longer running the factory ECU. The engine no longer is fitted with an oil level sensor. Not sure why, perhaps the engine has a windage tray or crank scraper which interfered with this. Have to go old school and use the engine dip stick if you want to know the engine oil level. Hasn’t used oil since I have been driving the car. I stopped using the car when the clutch started slipping, which has now been replaced. The car has been sitting about a year. I think the brake calipers need servicing because the brakes are pretty weak now. I can’t see any reason why the car won’t get a WOF when this is addressed. The last WOF was from Coombes and Johnston BMW. I don’t have time for it at the moment. $16,000 takes it away. No trades or deals. Test pilots will not be tolerated. Car is in Whatawhata/Hamilton.

Hi. Getting an automatic carbureted E9 back on the road that has been in long-term storage. Looking to replace the cooling system hoses, brake hoses, brake parts etc. with new. Will also replace the shock absorbers, springs and suspension bushes. Also looking for some wheels and tyres. Prefer something period correct in 14", or Alpina style or Style 5's in 16" if they will fit. Please let me know if you have anything lying around that may also be of use, even if I have not listed it. Thanks in advance. Dean.

Thanks Brent for your time today. You were right on the money about the engine number being the same as the chassis. Turns out the motor is from a manual 1980 euro 635CSi. Done a little research and it does look like 0280001114 is the right ECU for the engine. The ignition module is missing as well. Perhaps I need to look at stand alone options to provide tunability. Cheers.
