right, they work fine with the door open, so thats cool. But when car is on nothing. Car is 1988 320i Facelift and i have change the loom in the dash with a 1990 318iS one but this shouldnt affect it as this is only dash stuff like speedo etc which all works.. So which relay is it? Also the relay clicks when the doors open close so does this means its sweet? I did by accident have this relay plugged in the wrong plug for about ten mins of drving..

they only go when the doors are open now like normal, BUT when car is running they will not work, i had the window relay plugged in somewhere else and then plugged back into the right place, after replacing looms in the dash the dont seem normal? fuses ok. Change back to old dash loom??

Is there any reason why the 318iS diff will not fit in my 320i? both facelift models, just dont want to get half way through and find it wont go in, i think the 318iS diff is small case and dont know about the 320i one?? Should there be a conflict? Thanks - really need to sor this out b4 i go on a trip down south lol want to save some gas!! Also i think the salve cylinder is leaking- there is a squirting sound when the clutch is pressed in?? new slave cylinder?

I thought if you have been playing round with the wiring maybe you could tell me.... What way do the window relay and the other relay go ( there is a Blue one and a Orange one ) on the very left in the passenger side, once you take the glovebox out.. Wanna know which one goes on top, as i think i had them round the wrong way and the window 30A fuse kept blowing Cheers

can i put my 318iS radiator in my 5 speed 320I as the 320 one is bigger but only because it has the oil cooler for the auto, which i no longer need as the auto is long gone, reason is so i dont have to have the expansion tank thing, and its in way better condition than my current one, i dont see any probs, all the tubes etc are the same? except maybe the temp gauge that goes in the radiator....

aceoautomatic are reaaally good, when i had an auto i took it to Autotek to be fixed and they had to take it aceoautomatic so i guess its the best..

dont know about the lights but you could do the motor yourslelf for the door in 20 mins easy..

Go buy 4 axle stands from repco first thing tomorrow, then when your home from work drop the exhaust off and driveshaft off, and that should get ya going, from there just dont turn back and ask for advice on the forum.. also go to BNT and buy a E Torx set for $30 like mine will be all ya need for getting the auto out. Holla

yeah since im not doing the m42 conversion ill be keeping the m20, so i do have an engine but its a twin cam 1800 motor, and i have a few other bits, one mint black facelfit bumper, glass, door cards, i have some facelfit headlights and a mint grill, pm me with what you would like. Thanks

put some pics up mate, otherwise simply compress them, as it will help your thug missions as mentioned by another member, and possibly give a 10hp gain due to the lesser wind resistance by the car being closer to the ground. think about it.

i find my driving lights more bloody use than the headlights, they put out a wider beam so for around town etc they are great!

so annoying cos the 51mm struts wont let my 40p offest wheels fit hahaha so ermm might sell them too as ive seen some bbs i want real bad...

My old auto did the same, needed to warm up before it was nice n smooth, put a manual in it!! There is a place on Brisbane st which is cheap and a bmw place but i dont know how good it is on things like that.. ie my outer balljoints in my e30 to replace with brand new ones + labour $320

its so annoying to hear from someone aye, but i think he was right, he builds 2.8 strokers for like 8000 bucks and tunes all sorts, e36 touring cars etc he knows a lot, he said he has seen those engines blow etc, im confused grr kinda want to do it anyway but he may be right..

Well, i have talked to an experienced racing car builder at GAC in chch knows his sh*t!! he told me stick with the 6 and i think i might just do that, had a long talk to him, think i will swap interiors and dash, and also diffs so i can be at lower revs on the open road...didnt really want to do this but im taking advice from someone who has done this stuff for years..so anyone interested in a twin cam??
