They were the one's that were on the Lach silver mtech 4 door that andrew sold to that guy. All he did was take them off and give them a coat of paint.

Dont worry will be taking it to a reputable dealer. Is that for careless driving? What would I get from that? Yeah want be taking this easy im going to get evrything that i can outer this. If this were to be a write off how would i go about getting the best value for my car. If i leave it up to the insurance people they'll just call it an old car with high k's and try and give me $3000 for it.
-
Trying to sort stuff out with the insurance people now, but i cant do anything until she files a claim. Once it all goes through i'll be taking it down to James and Kingsbeer for them to do an assessment on it. I was gutted she wasnt even hot haha. I've been mulling things over in my head and if they do try and write it off i'll see how much i'll be getting for it and how much i can buy it back for. A new project wouldn't be half bad.

Definatly going to get it fixed. I've got Direzza 205/55 because theyr a mint tyre and wear well, they've also got the rim guard on them as well. I don't think the 55 look too bad, best suited for the 15", just get a 195 tyre on your bbs wheels and they wont look so balloony so to speak.

Nah the doors open fine and the roof lines straight as. Aha the first scavenger, heres hoping it doesn't come to that.

Driving up to a T-intersection with a stop sign. Proceed to stop and then some Stupid b***h in her 4x4 with a big ass bullbar on the front just drives straight up the back of me. Her excuse "i didn't think you were going to stop", what the hell theres a god damn stop sign right there! Sparkle will know the place, its notorius for people pulling out in front of 100km/hr traffic without stopping. Corner of Camerons Line and Aorangi Road. Assess the damage? Whats the best plan of attack? Take it to BMW and get them to mark it up? Possible chassis bent? It was at low speed, just the bull bar did all the damge. Note: There was nothing wrong with her truck.

Just got a quote for BMW europlates $499. Who would pay that?
-
Just need two new fog lights for a pre f/l. Mine are both cracked and would fail a warrant. Have been quoted a price from Jeff Gray just seeing if there are any avaliable here first. Fogs must be in good nick with no cracks. Cheers Mavrick

Dont you have to store your car in a garage if you want fire and theft with your 3rd party? Or is that just with AA? Thats the only way i could get fire and theft.

Define the term 'run', if its going and theres nothing mechanically wouldn't that be considered running? You'd be hard pressed to many people on this forum who don't own a 'shitter' then because 95% of people on here at one time or another will have done some sort of service to their cars by themselves.
-
Alot of people on here are students or are under the age of 23 or so, how do you expect them to fork out $500 dollars for a regular service. While it may be okay for you 'mature' residence on here that have had a full time job for a number of years it really isn't feasible for alot of people to pay that much for just a service, when it can be saved then spent on betterthnigs i.e. some badass rims or lowering your car (shocks and springs)? When i first purchased my car i took it to JefF Gray in P. North here and they quoted me for stupid things that didn't even need doing such as, battery clips $25, a new gearknob $475 a bent windscreen wiper (thats absolutely fine), i could get these items for my car to make it mint but i just dont have the money to spend on things like this when theres an easy no expense way around it. I usually stay out of these things but i felt compelled to say something as it seems you are degrading peoples car because they wont justify paying/cant afford to pay for a $500 service. rant over

I've searched the forum but can't find anything. What would be the optimum air pressure to have in my tyres. They 205/55/r15 Direzza's on baskets. Would just be interesting to know as they say low pressure equates to worse fuel consumption. Cheers Mavrick

So would anyone be keen to step up and set up a group buy? I have to say that i have zero experience in this area and would be of no use trying to get hold of these.
-
They are rep's but are of good quality from what i can gather, they use them on their race cars and stand by them. They are also avaliable in 17 x 7.5 et 35 but thats with a special order. $1650 is a good price for mint wheels that you won't see on any other cars i.e. hondaz toyotas etc
-
Have you heard from them as well? Mine was just a quick email to see if the prices were realistic. What do you mean by the wont be responsible?
-
Abraham motorsports were more than helpful. Just flicked them an email half an hour ago and have already got a quoted price see below. Hi Hamish- Thanks for your inquiry- Shipping to NZ is $63 per wheel by ship (4-6 weeks) and $138 by Airmail (4-10 days). We have the wheels in stock for immediate shipping. The total by ship is $968. Our PayPal account is: [email protected] Sincerely, Mel Abrahams Abrahams Motorsport www.abrahamsmotorsport.com Exclusive US Distributors: Schmiedmann Specialist i BMW www.schmiedmann.com I am quite keen on getting a set of these, i've been searching for ages and in the end gave up because i thought the only option was a 5-lug conversion with some genuine alpinas bought of ebay etc which was too rich for my blood. This is a quoted price to Palmerston North but i wouldn't suggest that it would be any different for naywhere else in NZ.

At 200 k's they it should have had everything replaced that usually craps out at about 180k's but seeing as he has rebuilt the motor to a 2.7ltr there shouldn't be many problems in the near future.
-
That's relatively low k's for a car of that age, I'm at 275000 k's along with alot of other people. The 2.7ltr has as stated about 200 hp whereas the 2.5ltr has about 170 hp.

What was the prior use for the vehicle? Was it used just as a fun track car or as a daily?
-
Whats the interior in it? Is it factory interior or is it caged with two front seats?
-
What do you do that makes you think you're a bad driver?
Mavrick replied to Jazzbass's topic in General Discussion
When I can see that the person who is going to turn in front of me (When im turning left into a street) I Just flick the indicator on at the last minute and turn the corner so they can't get in front. Thats when I know..... I'm usually a calm driver for someone of 19, just laugh at people as they pull out in front of you when you see the look on their face. -
Well worth the 5 minute read baha

Not usually one to step in and say anything. But it clearly states that this is the first time they have ever won this award, their only previous being runner up in 2004. The majority of the subarus that are being driven by young people theses day are pre 2003, which would mean that the engines in these cars didn't win any engine of the year award. I am merely stating a point no need for retaliation. I have seen how terrible these engines can be first hand. My mate bought a 1997 sti coupe before he had done 5000kms hes had to have a brand new turbo, totally rebuilt engine with forged pistons (all covered under warranty). Needless to say it is up for sale due to the fact that theres always soemthing going wrong with it.
