  1. xenon bulbs are well worth doing completely changes the look of the car at night with the light being a pure white or a ice blue. i went with ice blue 8000k. put them in fogs low and high beam and looks mint. also i do alot of night driving from AKL to Whitianga and they make driving so much easier. Just dont get the $90 kits off trademe would have produced more light burning the cash. If ya got the cash get H.I.D all round.

Hey all, I recently found this out and some of y'all will probley know about it but its a handy lill hint if ya dont If you press the trip odometer button and turn the ignition key to accessory position and release the button you get some interesting diagnostic codes and a full instrumentation test of the VDO gauges and the LEDs Heres what they mean: 1st display: BMW PART NUMBER (6 digits) (my buddy thought it would be funny to tell me that this was ACTUAL kms that the car has done 360260kms i nearly died) 2nd display: CODE NUMBER (5 digits) Internal Coding Plug # 3rd display: K NUMBER (4 digits) 4th display: CHASSIS NUMBER (5 digits) this is part of your VIN 5th display: SOFTWARE VERSION (3 digits) 6th display: REVISION INDEX (2 digits) Hardware # Have fun!

Just a little update. Since my last post i have: Have just finished the meguires mission 3-step process. Added twin chrome tipped Exhaust Put a slight tint to front corners sides and rears. (rears look like crap with all the sunlight beaming on them) Put a M3 lip on pics:
  14. Yeah bro... sorry my mates cracked up when that happend aint all that loud just your 328 is a little sensitive. What exhaust have you got? looks mint with the offset tips
  15. Gonna place my order next week. very easy site to use. I have seen a Black VW with one of the white digits on a black face. Kinda cool but i bet he gets the police attention quickly. Also can get whatever i want on a plate if i order from germanplates.com? ie already taken plates and unacceptable for release plates as there is no check of rego.??
  16. The paint is rude. Really dont like the way the shade changes through the middle. looks like a nissan... pooh

  21. Oh well its gone for good now. Mite attach a blow off valve to the vacume thinking of running 1 x exhaust pipe into a big BOV. I reckon itll be phat!
  22. Yeah around 3,000rpm is where i heard the change in engine note, thats why i thouht vanos played a part in it. oh well its gone now and sounds great. will post pics when i get a chance. Thanks
  23. Opps i should have resized images... sorry
  24. Hey all, I recently replaced the rear 1/4 of the exhaust system. When doing this i noticed this.. I dont have much knowlege on this and would like to know more about it if any one can help. From what i see is that it closes under vacume hence creating back pressure? I think i could here it at certain times when driving the car but thought it was the Vanos kicking in? Thanks for the help.
