Remap is now complete just awaiting the arrival of the headers, Turns out there was a bit of work to do pre remap and as a result DHA now has a new engine wiring loom got a full service etc. Anyway the result is great, Gavin has managed an increase of 15rwhp sorted out the idle and the missing (short in wiring loom). Needless to say its a much better drive and now cant wait for the headers. Will post Dyno graphs up once complete

Maybe you just bought a dog. Cant say mine has ever just stopped driving.

Ha the key to cheap M running is not to daily them. So far the cab has cost $900 in 3 years not including the depreciation
-
Not sure if it sold or not or who owned it but it looked great.
-
No doubt but at 40000k i think its a wee way of for me

So the clutch is the only major expense on an M3 then?

Thats the point if you want the chance to overshoot run an auction not a game of guess the price. Hence why i haven't PM'd you back just lost interest. Whether you consider yourself part of the community or not Hybrid is explaining how best to get a result on this forum.

Would definiately get it checked out by a BMW specialist and Glenn can help ya out. If thats to far to travel then theres always the BM Workshop in Grey Lynn which is 2 mins from the dealer. I agree with Greg the red car looks like good buying. Im pretty sure it was for sale out of Jerry Claytons about 3 years back if its the same car its worth a look.

Project DHA It’s been almost 3 years since DHA724 arrived on the scene and following an empty of the wallet and a days cleaning it still scrubs up ok. Up until recently not much had changed apart from new Bilsteins and H & R’s all round (it was actually terrifying before ah Andy ) and a new M Tech 2 wheel. Having ground to a stop with the mod’s and finishing touches for a while I’ve decided to get stuck in and finish it off. So the plan is a remap care of Gavin at High Velocity next week followed by new headers and then assess the power from there. I do like the weaves but want 16s so Alpinas or ACs or similar? open to suggestions. Then the interior retrim with sport evo fronts Will stick up pics as it comes together

I have a 1998 SMG and to be honest it takes a bit of getting used to. I dont find it to bad although a manual would be better but overall I have lived with it for 3 years cant see myself selling anytime soon. Its not harsh it just has a rather bad delay when changing but is at its best under load. Also there is still a big delay when in E mode and its rather sh*t in its gear selection. I have driven a lot of E46 M3's and that SMG is harsh depending on your shift setting. If its a good car the right spec and condition you can live with the SMG. My 2 cents

Na the Alpina's make it look a bit tame

Most likely got it in the Eric Watson settlement and cant afford an upgrade
