An extra $350 for a lifetime of heated seats is hardly going to break the bank.

The associated cost with making assembly line changes to accommodate all these changes are horrendous. I'll use the f15 as an example, they came with 4 different headlight options. The 4 lights that need to be designed and manufactured, then loaded into the assembly line at the right time.Thats 4 different lights that need to be held on the shelf for spares. Instead they can design and build one light, keep one light on the shelf at the dealership instead of waiting however long for parts from Germany.

Did the buyers ask for 4 different types of headlights? Or was that an option to upsell  for more revenue?

  2. Get them powder coated and ask the powder coater who they’d recommend. And shop around. I did mine last year, quotes were from $60-90/wheel for powder coating and $50-85 for blasting. I had one wheel done (blasted) at a place as a cash job that cost $100 (quoted $80, but cash so…), then had to have it redone as the job was so poor.

Happy with the powder coating and they have a big range of colours.

I'm buying everyone beers if its the battery. Going to get a new battery tomorrow and give it a crack. Wouldn't be the first time I've looked past something so easy.

I’m amazed by what low voltage does in a modern (ish) car. We have an ‘07 Civic, air con stopped working, thought “oh well”, needed a new battery, air con works. I’ve been reading thinking battery because you’re in a colder area, but I’m no guru. Look forward to seeing what the problem is.
