De-reg no wof. Red 1998 BMW 4 door factory manual 245,000 or so km's. 0211066137 (call or text) Has dent on drivers door, dent on bonnet, smashed window (from a burglary that resulted in stolen car stereo). Recently had cooling system & engine oil leaks/tune done for $2,500 4 months ago. Reason for sale, car is my brothers but it is my mothers name & she purchased it for him 2 years ago. He is a useless prick that completely wrecked it and let the rego go de-reg & he lost the car keys... He then lost his license. My mother is sick of his troubles so as his punishment she rang cash4cars to pick it up next saturday for $400 cash in hand. I said to her i'll put an advert up because I know it's worth a lot more than that!! being factory manual & the alloys are good too. Car has been parked up in Panmure Auckland for 3 months now and buyer must collect. This has never been involved in any major accidents, drivetrain is in perfect running order. Typical e36 interior falling apart and lots of scratches here and there on the body. She was bloody beautiful when first purchased & it's sad to see that state it is in now, worth only parts now i'd imagine.

This looks pretty cool, has anyone done similar? http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-7-Series-E65-E...5b1&vxp=mtr I like the idea of hooking up a game console in my vehicle! That would be awesome

I have a friend in Onehunga that used to do a lot of work on my old e65 7er... it was my daily drive & used to get a lot of dings & scratches so she was in his shop every other month...(I always had to have my cars gleaming as im a real estate agent) I can get you his number if you like, his work is top notch he's a cool guy & is cheap as chips! His place is called Reliable auto panel & paint onehunga, tell him you know Toby & he recommended you for a good price!

e39 and e46 - What to look for?
tobytoblerone replied to cliffdunedin's topic in TradeMe discussions
Google is your friend, there are thousands of forums & guides out there advising this, just google bmw e39 common faults... Then check to see if any work has been carried out on the vehicles you are wanting to purchase. Have a mechanical inspection done too by a BMW specialist too. Oh & definitely get the V8... I daily drive my V8, life is too short to not indulge One drive & you won't think twice about buying it! -
e39 and e46 - What to look for?
tobytoblerone replied to cliffdunedin's topic in TradeMe discussions
The e39 & e46 are fairly simple cars which are cheap to maintain & repair so either is a good choice. My first BMW was an e39 and my mother used to have the same e46. But out of those two I'd go for the 5 series, half the price and more Km's but it has the comfort seat options which is pretty rare for an e39! And 318's are so common on our roads! The 5 series rides & feels like a smaller 7 series so it's more luxury orientated. -

Correction, 760Li. 'iL' was dropped after the E38. And yep the E65 did have a lot of problems when new but they were all fixed by dealerships, buying them used is great now as they are a bargain and generally very reliable. I've owned 2 of them now over the last 3 years and never had any issues. But the F01 also has had it's fare share of issues, some more serious than the E65! -

I've had two ex-singapore 7 series now (E65 & E38) & both of which never had problems with any electrics. That electrics thing is an absolute myth! And the 7 series is one of the most complicated vehicles out there. -

China, lol. They're based on an old e-class Mercedes. Watch the top gear review of the 300c, link is posted in a previous reply. -

Yes, but like I said. It has nothing on a 7 series and especially a 760Li. It would definitely have something on a 3 series but even then the 3 series is a great, well established vehicle that is the best in it's class. -

I like the wheels & color on this one, I think I know what my next car purchase will be! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-551393790.htm -
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-561318640.htm =( In such a rough shape, who would have thought that a once quarter of a million dollar vehicle would end up like this.

+1 and the falcon's interior is pretty shocking.. I sat in the 300c and poked the plastic dashboard, love how it made that china plastic noise & bounced back lol. -

Are you kidding me??? A 760Li is miles ahead of a cheap chrysler in terms of luxury driving, they're a completely different class of vehicle. A 300c would only compare to a 3 series. A 760Li is the closest thing to a RR, they share the same core components. Drive train, chassis etc. A RR is based on a 7 series platform. -
I almost choked when I saw that in the description lmao. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-560101327.htm This trader has obviously never sat in a high-end european or 760Li lol.
