Made this video for my 7er. Shows all the features!

A sign of the times definitely, very hard to sell a high-end german vehicle in this tough economic climate. There's just little to no market for them on the used market anymore!

Ok I take that back, this is the most beautiful e65 on the market at the moment IMO! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-531804242.htm

That car looks awful with all that tacky kit, I would say they would have an easier time selling the vehicle by bringing it back to factory specification. Check this beauty out http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-531804242.htm Very very hard cars to sell the 7er. With the age of them now and the expense in owning/running one, I have two of these cars (one 735i and a 745Li) from my experience they are an absolute fantastic car to drive & own. They are still miles ahead in terms of engineering/technology to any new japanese car today. And just as good as a F01 in terms of luxury & driving dynamics. Make sure you purchase one with a very comprehensive service history & service receipts if possible, my first e65 I purchased 2 years ago and is still driving/looking like new with 242,000 KM's on the clock! (this is my daily driver) Not a single problem since I purchased the vehicle either. Flawless quality motoring I say and such a bargain at prices you can get them for now, you honestly feel just as good driving one of these compared to a F01. IMO I prefer the driving dynamics and interior in the e65 to the F01 call be biased but ive driven both and almost purchase a F01 (the prices on those have dropped significantly for a 2009) it's just a luck of the draw getting a e65 that doesn't crap out on you. Had a transmission leak on my 745Li (my weekend car) and this one didn't have service receipts or much of a service history. Must emphasize the importance of a full comprehensive service history!!!

oh my goodness! What a sad sad state for a 7er to be in. I would gladly clean/detail it for free!

These are great sport tyres.. excellent grip, handling. $50 each. Plenty of running life left in these... Will add photos if there is interest. Pickup in Auckland. 2 available only.

Hey Oliver, I had the same issue on my e39. Its due to the buildup of wax over the years and it isn't removable... After numerous products nothing worked. Its black plastic exposed to the elements, so the only real permanent fix is to have them painted. Why not take the opportunity to have the strips color coded to blend in with the car? I reacon it looks much cleaner. I used to apply baby oil to them, sometimes armour-all spray shine stuff... Yeah baby oil sounds wierd, but it works very well! This was about once a week i did this when i washed the car. Also baby oil is good for using on the chrome trim around the windows, it helps reduce the cloudiness that can build up on the chrome over time. Cheers

Hmm if there is a location for the bulb for the angel eyes then it would work. (note the headlights require the bumper to be removed first to remove the headlights) If not, then you would need a set of new headlights which are very expensive! Want me to take a look at it for you?

Wow, thank you! Let me atleast buy you a box or bottle of something! When am i able to come?

well well well, i managed to set off the airbag light on my 7er e65 aswell as two nice rubbish idrive messages! By accident sort of, well rather laziness... i pulled out the rear bench seat to give the leather a nice clean and condition. I never knew the rear seats had sensors and other garbage in them when i came to pulling out the seat there were connectors.. it did cross my mind briefly that i knew i needed to disconnect the battery first. but getting to the battery in the e65 is kinda a pita.. hehe so i skipped it and now i have a nice airbag light and several warnings in idrive. All in time for my WOF inspection woohoo.. So now this is where you (whoever you maybe) come in and help me! I know all it takes is a simple clearing of the codes on a clever little diagnostic tool or whatever it is. Im willing to pay whoever can kindly help me out here! i just need these stupid codes removed and that airbag light gone! Please get in contact with me asap if you can help! (p.s. try not to charge me too much because my warrant, rego and service is all due at the same time and we all know a 7er aint cheap to maintain haha)

Some of the pre-facelift e65's didn't have angel eyes, instead use parklights similar to those on previous 7 series. Even though it appears the angel rings are there, they are actually not used... Wierd they would still put the rings there, is the car from japan or Singapore?

I need one please, if anyone knows where i can buy one as i need one right away! Cheers

Chris Bangle Appreciation! Loads of images!

The e65 7 series went on to be one of the best selling 7 series, it sold far better than the e38. And was praised for is ride quality. Even so the ride quality in the e65/e66 is still far superior to that in the f01 according to reviews and opinions online! And once you own a e65, you will realize how simple the idrive system actually is! I actually wish it had more settings haha -

What do you all think of the facelift? I personally think the rear end is an improvement, but i prefer the pre-facelift front over this one! -

Haha, they look far from dated! I still have people asking me if mine is 2010 or 11! Its quite a unique design to every other bmw on the road, and there are tons of BMW's on the road here in Auckland. -

I reacon the 7 looks amazing on the road, they are just so huge and imposing compared to any other car on the road. They have such huge road presence, and these 7 and 6's have such a unique design to every other BMW on the road it turns heads and just makes them stunning cars. The interior on the 7 is probably the best place to be! -
Controversial design at the time, but i believe the designs have aged like fine wine and still look brand new almost 10 years later! Chris Bangle set so many design trends within car design. Auto manufactures today continue to take design cues from Chris's work, he is truly ahead of his time! Here are some images of the BMW 7 series e65 which was released back in 2002: Here are few images of the facelifted BMW e65
