This morning there were two Ford GT's in NZ, one black, one white. Midday there was only the white one left, at $475K this is right up there with the Lambo in Parnell incident. This happened in Redoubt Road, Manukau. Lucily it was still LHD!.....

C'mon, outside then bro?! :banghead:
-
Its okay, if you get hassled by anyone about the speed, tell 'em Helen was in the back seat!
-
So what you are saying, is that even though you post on Bimmersport, when your cousin offered you a ride in his new BMW, you had no idea that it was an M5????????!!! Did your guide dog sit in the back, or in the boot?
-
I like it, not quite as pretty as the new 6, but once BMW puts some pumped out arches on it, some monster intakes on the front, a rear boot spoiler, a V8 with 4 exhaust outlets in it, and some 19's or 20's on it you will all be drooling!

Speaking of sh*t for sale which does absolutely nothing, check this gem out! Owner seems convinced it work though! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-45395392.htm

Just read the page on E36/Toyota conversions, well said with a good dash of humour thrown in!

I have done quite a few laps with Mr Stuck since finding that clip! And yeah, don't you just love straight cut boxes! I would say well over 300K down that very long straight near the end,and it kinda makes everything else look slow, doesn't it? :thumb:

And don't bother unless it is a Schrick cam, and you have a way of changing the fuel and ignition maps, to take advantage off all the extra air your engine will flow.
-
Aren't all cams lumpy?! :finger:
-
glad you liked it, here is another one of my favourites, a lap of the old Nurburgring in an E46 M3 GTR with Hans Stuck driving- turn the sound up and hang on, this is F#$%&N awesome! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=30...7736&q=BMW+Hans

Stumbled across this website, it is of the hillclimb Bimmer I posted a clip of a few months back. Turns out it has a Judd V8 (ex F1 engine no less- hence awesome soundtrack!) Check out the Videos on this site- V. COOL! http://www.georg-plasa.de/ The videos, if you can't be bothered looking for them: http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/Plasa_mick05.wmv http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/Plasa_slw.wmv http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/agatha05.wmv http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/plasa_iberg_05.wmv http://www.kcr-team.net/Plasa.Iberg.wmv http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/..._rechberg05.mpg http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/Verzegnis_04.mpg http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/...echberg05_2.wmv http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/agatha2004.mpg http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/pedavena2004.mpg http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/...slowenien04.mpg http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/...rrari_plasa.wmv http://www.berg-zeitnahme.de/plasa_videos/Trento_plasa.wmv I'll admit it is not 100% BMW, but this is one of my all time favourite BMW's, right up there with the E46 M3 GTR, and probably quicker too...

Bloody wankers who reverse into you on the bridge!

I have fitted a few different engines to different cars over the years, some my own, some for customers. Believe me, unless you are capable of doing the work(or most of it) yourself, then keep to the more basic swaps, such as the m52 or M20B25 engines, unless you have very deep pockets. The $1500 you pay for your Mitsubota twin turbo with 8 spd gearbag will pale in comparison the the bill you will get for the custom fabricated mounts, custom sump and pickup, crossmember, exhaust, fuel system, air intake system, cooling system, wiring etc. etc. I'm not suggesting you will be ripped off, a conversion of this nature takes a lot of time($$$) to do properly, not to mention the parts (more$$$$) Andrew will tell how you expensive it can be just to get basic mods done to an existing car with the engine already in place! And E30-323ti sounds like he has done most of the hard stuff himself, but I'm sure he has still sunk quite a few $$$$$ into that project. This is why you will often see unfinished projects for sale, the owner has simply spent all of his money on it, with the end nowhere in sight. This can be a good way to get that conversion of your dreams, just be sure to get someone with a few clues to check it out for you to make sure it has been well done, unfinished projects can generally be had for a fraction of what has been spent, but don't buy a dog- it will end up costing you plenty more to re do what has already been done!

Nice little business opportunity for someone?????
-
Yes he did have quite a bit of stock, all gone now though. I had a look at the super tourer bits, and they were that, just bits. I think the biggest part was an S14 cam cover, some gaskets, injectors etc. I am still waiting for the price list too, although I don't expect to ever see it, and if I do, the prices will be horrendous!........
-
One important point to note- water does not burn! Only useful in a turbo where the intercooler efficiency/compression ratio/fuel octane is at its limit, so can be useful to prolong the onset of detonation. Better not to need it in the first place.
-
Yes you are right, it used to be him. Nobody as far as I know has the national franchises/importers for Racing Dynamics, ACS or Alpina.
-
And another $1 on that, quite a common problem.
-
I'll second that, he knows what he is doing. I'll put $1 on it be the centre hanger bearing on the propshaft....
-
I can get you a sharp deal on a new one if you want, let me know and I will get a price for you.

RS6 is a manual, 6 speed I think- helluva car! 13.8 is very impressive for a road car on a damp track- well done!

Oh yeah, we know what you Aussies cart around the world in those don't we?!!!!
