  1. wel, wasn't me, as it was debaged, but i got a e34 525i with high flying decal on the back window :-)
  2. sweetill buy it of you when i get home from the trip in 3 days mate, pretty keen on that thanks for that Andrei
  3. Hey, just as i was driving home, it seems that my Sport/Snow/Economic switch died. Its being weird and not switching from one mode to the other and stuff. I took it out and apart but there is nothing obvious to why it would be doing this. Its got 6 pins, and i was wondering if anyone can tell me what other BMWs have the same switch (if any), or any other ideas at all. I'm kinda goin on a trip tomorow and dont want to have to wory about it if i can, but oh well. Cheers for any ideas (btw the car is a 92 525i)
  4. if you were in chc id buy them (well, and they would fit my e34....). Anyway, good luck
  5. yeah...just as i thought. thanks for the thumbs up :-)
  6. hey, I thought i heard something weird happenin on my left, rear wheel. So i took it of and eventually found that the inner pad (one closer to the diff) is moving about 1, maybe 1.5 mm inside the caliper. It is in the right place, pad has a lot of 'meat' left... I'm just wondering if i should worry about it at all. Any help is welcome Cheers BTW its a 92 E34 525i
  7. hey, Just measured it. Its OD: 37cm, just a bit smaller than my standard E34 one... In the pm from Gus i was told that it should fit an E30, but i'm not making any kinds of promises :-). I'll get a picture of the back of it a bit later...I'm in a bit of a rush atm. As for offers, Gus offered me the most so far. I'll wait for his reply, and ill giver everyone a fair go at it in a few days. I'm in absolutley no rush, unless you are ;-). Feel free to ask any questions Andrei
  8. hey, i have this 3 spoke steering wheel, that I don't have a use for. I'm pretty sure it came of a E36, but not 100%. The plastic bit on the back is a cracked, but that does not affect it at all (its the bit that holds the metal strip that is the contact for the horn). I supose you could take the same plastic part of the old steering wheel, and change them. Anyway...its a good looking steering wheel. I was thinking about putting it on trademe, but i thouht ill ask you guys first. Make a decent offer....if you're in chc its easy, if not i could start an auction on TradeMe with a agreed Buy now, and send it for free. whatever.... Ask if you wany more pictures Andrei
  9. and probably a decent amout of power and torque to :-D
  10. hey sorry i havnt posted for a while, bu here's the story so far: one evening i was reading the previous post about the tune-up, and the second morning the time for inspection light came on lol. Althought it hasn't done the idle thing since, i will be taking it in for a service shortly. I sort know the main dealer/owner(?) at Automobili in Christchurch, and my dad was pretty close to buying a car from him. I admire the guy very much and asked him who he recomends for such a job, and he said Kevin Burt on st asaph. I got home and looked up the yellowpages.co.nz for bmw service people and i found him and another two. I'll give them a call on monday and see what happens. Cheers for all your help so far guys Andrei
  11. Don't think my idle is set to low, as it doesn't do it all the time, never when driving in town. if i was to get anything older than what i have, it would have to be old 635 :-)
  12. cheers guys will look into it. Doesn't sound like something major tho :-) Thanks Andrei
  13. hey, my 525i (92, 145k, m50) is doing something strange: when it idles, the rpm seems to rise and drop. sometime its hardly there, sometime it oscilates between 500 and 1000 rpm, about once/second. This happens after a bit of open road in sports mode (not redline gear changes...but a bit more revs that you would get to in town). if you give it a bit of throttle it runs smoothly like it should. Anyone know what this might mean/be caused by? Cheers for any help Andrei
  14. " back seat has never really been used". You got a car like that and you couold never fill it lol. Things would deffinetly change if that car was mine lol how much are you after just out of curiosity anyway? Andrei
  15. damn nice....sunroof and electric seats, motosport steering wheel, the computer next to the stereo. wish i could afford another e34 and bold a 5 speed manual into that :-D
  16. hey guys I'm after a 15" alloy wheel for my 525i. My old one got a huge dent in it :-(. Just after a rim, tyre not really needed, as the one on the wheel is fine, but anything considered. I live in christchurch If you got anything, leave a message Cheers Andrei (I'd prefer one like the one on the car in the picture....)
  17. thanks guys, i understood how the knobs work, and now it's confirmed that the rear centre vent is for cold air only. Thanks guys, once again this forum has been very helpful :-D Andrei
  18. the rotary ones...the horizontal ones i get :-). cheers
  19. hey, can anyone please explain to me the double climate control knobs? which one is what? im just confused about how they work. And i also noticed another thinkg:no matter what the settings are, the vent that goes down the middle of the car to the rear passangers (not the ones under the seat) always blows cold air, eveen when the car has been running for ages and every other vent is blowing hot air, anyone know why? Thanks for any help Andrei
  20. that video is cool. t's scened, but who cares. i got 2 videos of a e34 535i drifting in a huge roundabout at huge speeds, i reccon it's in Germany. One of my frieds said he's got a DVD with a bmw (from his description its a E30) that drifts really well.
  21. cheers dude, i'll give up....:-) it was worth a try anyway and learned some neat tricks along the way :-) Andrei
  22. ok, so i looke around the net and found this: ATF does stand for automatic transmition fluid, and it is used in power steering as well, dats wat BMW e34 DIY said so i wasn't to far of with the ATF thing, but still
  23. uhm...you're right ok, I am so imbaressed...where am I suposed to look for a gbox dipstic anyway? cheers

    735I UPDATE

luv it luv it LUV IT! nice man, i want one :-)
  25. ok, my intake is stock, not like the pic above. Anyway, the container cap says ATF ONLY (i'm guessin it's Automatic Transmition Fluid?), and if you take of the cap, there is a small piece of plastic on the bottom of it (the dipstick). Dat the thing i'm looking for?
