Wow didnt know this thread would reach two pages! Sold the car and now brought a 318i manual e36 lol. Wanted manual and it was an impulse buy. Got it at a very good price except comes with 17" chromes but half the chrome has worn away. Should I get it re-chromed? and if so how much approx? or do a DIY somehow and take off the chrome and repaint white lol. or something different. There is a picture of the car in " My Rides" listed up the top as a new thread. Thanks guys for all the help!!!! Regards Sven

Hi, I have a major problem, I was an idiot and took out the old e36 4 door rear lights and put in new aftermarket rear lights. The major problem is that I cant remember where the exact wiring goes for each part of the light. All the wires are different colours and was hoping that someone could possibly help me out and take a photo of one sides of their rear lights so I know where to put mine back into the right order. Have searched google and cant find anything, im not that great in this area as you can see. problems are that park lights arnt working, and things dont seem to be right eg when lights a=are on the high stop light on the window goes on as well??!! Thanks heaps for any info on how to sort this out. Regards Sven

I brought one from the Trademe Member and sh*t it was loud! Mine was on a E36 318is which was a stupid idea at the time as car is only 4 cylinders which just makes it F**king loud and as someone else stated you have to have your Muisc cranking at a noise where people can hear you from the outside when you dont even have your windows open. Take a risk if you have a 6 cylinder bmw but I wont be buying those again. Nice sound for the first day and then you slowly start to use excuses not to take the Bmw out for a cruise.

Im having a VERY similar problem, my 325 I took the battery out and charged it voer night, went and put it in the next day and only the electricals work but it wont start up. I thought maybe it could be the battery is old and needs replacing? Could this be a reason? Cheers

Hey, havent been on for a long time since I have come back over from selling the evo to getting a e36 325i. Problem now is that I have put 18" vaults on and they are rubbing hard on the guards. How would I pull out the guards and which is the best and tidiest way? never pulled out gaurds before and all your advice would be great. Thanks
