Hey im curious to see what fuel consumption others are getting from their bimmers: so post what you have and what you're getting. Ill start: Used to have an e32 740i auto, that got an average of 11.2L/100km <not typo The runabout e30 318i auto got 10.2L/100km before the air/fuel sensor went... gotta get that fixed And teh e39 528i manual (now with K&N panel filter) gets 8.8L/100km with a fair bit of city involved

HAHAHA man we had one of those (long time ago) same colour, never could get it off the ground tho!

Thanks for all the compliments guys Of those options id probably be looking at just a front splitter and two-tip single muffler arrangement - cant really lower it due to wanting to maintain its current level of comfort on long journeys. As for the tyre profile, i will be looking to upgrade the rubber before the next w.o.f. so thats on the list.

Cheers! Yeah, 5 speed manual.

For Example: No-Brand chip as advertised on trademe : USD$34.99 Plus Shipping Or: A good brand (Dinan USA) chip : USD$75.00 Plus Shipping Even factoring in shipping, its MUCH cheaper to import your own from the states. I have done it a bit (see "My 1996 528i SE Facelift Process" in Rides) buying off eBay and paying via paypal and its been choice!

Let you in ona secret: if you're willing to pay for shipping, you will get most after-market BMW parts significantly cheaper than in NZ on http://www.motors.ebay.com/ cos if you think trademe's range is good, take a look stateside!!

If you're gonna get these german-font reproductions, the URL is http://www.germanplates.com thats where the trade-me seller buys them from making himself a tidy profit.. I think it should be legal to run these, i mean i see a few cars round with british plates (white front, yellow rear) that look nothing like personalised plates' "euro style plates". I mean its only a slightly different font, its not as if the cops cant read them right?
-
As you can see its looking a bit tired at the front from stone chips- it has covered over 217000kms so far, more than half of which is open road driving. Things im looking to do to the appearance in the future are: Euro-style personalised plates Tinted windows Your feedback and opinions on its 'facelift' and future mods would be appreciated!

The mods pictured as current are: 18x8.5" BMW m-spec replica wheels coated in shadow chrome Dunlop SP Sport 2000 Tyres all round 245/45/R18 Smoked Front Lamps Smoked Side Indicators Smoked Rear Lamps Chrome appearance indicator bulbs

But in the time ive had it ive felt the need to give it a sort of 'facelift' to bring it into the new millenium. Heres the results:
