The car in my sig is lowered 35-40mm on H&R springs, thats about as much i personally would want to go, especially as last week i took out my oil sump on a particularly nasty driveway to my mates bach... i dont think youd have enough travel lowered further either?

oh and never had so much as a parking ticket in my life, this is my first offence
-
and i guess you maintain absolutely no more than 50kph downhill at all times? i guess i shifted into 4th and let it roll away on the downhill, a little foolish but had the camera van not been there it would have been of absolutely no consequence... i certainly wasnt intentionally speeding, i was too busy scanning the environment... and identical tickets is a little weird in my books its like the camera was rounding up or something.

Pedants. Thats "61" in a 50... and to boot my mum got an identical (61kph) ticket off the same camera 1 1/2 hours before. it was placed on a downhill in a barely built industrial area and had parked the van in front of a truck... if it was for more than $80 id be contesting it but cant be bothered. They should put the cameras near schools though, not arterial routes with less hazards. not happy

Hey there, welcome! Great to see someone from the states on here. nice ride, i like the blackened wheels and grille, and of course the alpineweiss colour and sunroof . In terms of modifications i would definitely recommend some lowering springs- eliminate the awkwardness of the wheel arch gaps and improve handling- i recently installed some H&R 35mm lowering springs, these are great, the right height drop and not compromising ride quality. -
Downhill with a tailwind?

Yep i have worked at a vw dealership and can agree, the w8 is nicely finished inside and makes a nice sound but dynamically, power wise and overall its beat by a 540i. and doesnt have the same sense of style

this thread reminds me of my mates stories of old jag xj sedans, the symbol would need to have a nozzle on both sides as theres two tanks and filler caps (apparently back in the old days when the pumps ran slower people did that and paid for both fills!) and ya still have to fill it up as often

Thanks for all the compliments guys, its good to hear that its well recieved
