I think that the M5 kit is a bit done and I am very against putting a body kit on a car it doesn't belong on like an m kit on a non m car or an evo body kit on a lancer, it is sacrilege. The body kit will be one I make myself. I am going to buy doner kit like this one and build off that with fiberglass and such

Yeah not Hartge, because negative on the body kit and such (motor has been changed though) I know low n slow is done on e39s but what I want to do hasn't been so when it is all finished you can judge it.

He didn't just buy that Caldina off Arronn Smith? Does it have an LND disc on the front window and is a 99 gtt?

Hey everyone, this is my E39 that is going to slowly become something a bit different from most BMWs around in New Zealand. I bought it as totally stock aside from some stupid crystal tail lights, (which are now on another members car and tinted red, maybe I should have kept them). So far I have replaced the tail lights with OEM ones which are getting a bit of uniqueness to them over the next couple of weeks, I have alarmed and immobilized the car and tinted it. As far as tints go, the back window is 35% on top of the factory smoked glass and the rest of the windows are 35%. Pictures will be added as new updates happen. Here is the car as it is now with the new tints and the new lights installed

The sump on my Legacy just before I sold it was 30mm off the ground, front lip was less than a finger and the back was the same. Didnt drive it anywhere and was only like that in the garage for a week.

I did not know that, but still, as far as functionality over form goes, I am pretty sure my Digital Design components upfront and my Kenwood 6x9s in the back doors will be better

How should I go about lowering my E39?
j.ingledew replied to Tristan's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Bro can you do mine too? I will give you beer haha, lots of beer, just after you have done the car though, don't really want my spring falling out of the seat, riding bumpies only feels like an adventure for 20 meters -
On a very flat road

When youre a learner, as far as you know your car has like 10000000rwhp

Watch, and laugh. If you understand what they are saying, it is golden.
-
Is it just one side? It could be the dent. Take the wheel off and look for signs of scuffing in the wheel well
-
The wheels really suit the car and I am loving the colour, once it's lowered it will really look the part, that's all it needs IMO. Just don't go crazy on camber and all that.
-
Power bar guard roll But really, are you getting any rubbing when turning sharply? If the car isn't lowered at all, then it could be a fallen piece of plastic from the inner wheel well, I can imagine that 10mm would effect an factory height car that much.
-
Hence why I am putting it on just for a laugh, would you like a Koreisha in the German colours? And instead of the 'Thank You' you can have 'Your Welcome'
-
I caaaaant find it!
-
At the moment it is just an idea but if I do them it will probably be about 20cm maybe I don't know eh, will be in great quality though, I wont settle for anything less than perfect If x amount of people are interested I will approach a signwritter like Brown Brothas or something and do a group buy ?

I will take it if its not taken by Tristan.

Hey everyone I am just wondering how to go about getting some Bimmersport stickerss to throw on to my car and I am also considering doing a run of JDM arrow stickers (Shoshinsha mark or Wakaba mark) changed to black, red and yellow (German flag) just for a bit of a laugh. The JDM arrow I am talking about is the one bellow, would anyone be keen on it as the colours of the German flag?
-
Why did you put them in the front doors instead of the back? I would only put 6x9s in the back because really you wouldn't get that much audio gain out of them so I would put them in the back as more of a show piece.

Just want to throw this one out there. I took my car to Hyper Drive on Great South road in Penrose yesterday to get my car alarmed and tinted, chur. Got the car there at 9am and a guy at the desk sorted me out so I went and sat down to get picked up for my '3 hour wait'. Due to complications, I wasn't able to be picked up so I went to the desk after an hour wait just to get a progress update. I managed to deduce through the severe lack of information that the car was booked (well I hope) for tints at 8am on Tuesday morning and the alarm will be ready about 1pm so I took a loan car and went home. At 3pm I called and got put through to the service department and the call wasn't answered so I went back and resumed waiting. The car was ready at quarter to 5 and I jumped in and left. Few hours later I go to turn the aircon on and none of the buttons work, nothing comes up on the screen, awesome. Took the car back today and an hour and half later they fixed that and I am going back for my tints on Tuesday. The guy in the service department (Jarrod I think) was great, he was in his own words 'a BMW nut' and was really helpful, even showed me what was wrong with my door handle. What gets to me though, is the fact that it takes a full day to do my alarm, and they don't even do the damn thing properly. If they had of said yeah, this will take ALL day, I wouldn't be ass pissed off about the aircon unit. Not happy about it all aye, and I have spent a whole lot of money there before with previous cars. I hope this isn't an across the board problem or a reoccurring problem because I do usually have a good experiences with them and their work.
