Hi ya Wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find some wiring diagrams for e60 / e61 M5 or M6, particularly the DME / ECU and SMG computer wiring diagrams / pinout info. I’ve had a pretty good look on the internet, but nothing there , at least in public domain. I'm wondering if a 24-hour subscription to BMW-TIS might be an option…? Any guidance would be appreciated. Feel free to PM a dodgy download link ! cheers Paul

I have had a hunt through Bimmersport and for the life me I can't find a thread / raging argument on what oil to run in an S85. Castrol 10w60 EDGE, Castrol 10w60 Supercar aka TWS? BMW branded version, Shell/BMW version, Anything 10w60 as long as it is from a reputable brand and fully synthetic? I think I have read more on oil opinions than anything else about S85 engines, im not looking for some cheap alternative snake oil, I'm just wondering if the attitude has changed at all towards using anything other than 10w60 Supercar? Cheers.

Pretty interesting video for high milage S65 and applicable for S85 engines as well Looking at the video, to be honest the rod bearings looks pretty good for its milage. 152k miles is 244k kms, even our 24 year old Prado doesn't have that milage. We replaced our S85 rod bearings about 61k kms, better condition but definitely beyond normal wear. Mechanical insurance paid the claim. I think @TermiPeteNZ maybe have the highest milage before rod bearing replacement? Anyone else had high milage before replacing their rod bearings? Maybe rod bearing issue is over-hyped?
