Model: 325i 1986 (not sure if iS or not) Colour: Diamond Schwartz Body Type: Mtech1 Coupe Interior: Full houndstooth sport with black head liner Exhaust: Stock with Remus Muffler Not sure what else to say. If you've got any questions or want a picture of something, don't hesitate to ask. Regards Andrew

Andre3000 55 Report post Posted October 30, 2008 Parents not keen on me parting the bimmer out in the garage, any advice? I thought hire out a lockup for a few weeks? Seems that the car is most definitely going to be parted now unless someone wants the whole car. Did just get its warrant last friday (inspector must have been severely short sighted). *Glenn* 854 Report post Posted October 30, 2008 Glenn / Andrew, how is the gearbox? I havent driven it yet BTW: I am a licenced AVI (A6013) and I've been one for over 20yrs now. Had the testing station manager here yesterday to inspect the car and take photos. He is now conducting an internal investigation as to why it was issued with a warrant. He is going to ring me with the result. The WOF issues are: Fuel lines perished and split R/H engine mount broken Control arm bushes Exhaust leaking- broken studs in manifold Rust holes in both sills & floor Rear parcel tray hacked for speakers Steering coupling

GLIDN 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2008 i thought when the no cutting rear parcel tray law came in around 2000ish, cars that had it already done before that time where passed, but any car that had it done after that time where failed due to reasons mentioned above>? Or are all cars now or should they be failed if the rear parcel tray has been cut?

If the metal tray constitutes a structural, integral part of the chassis structure and supports the seat belt anchor points....its a fail

Guest SamSpargo Report post Posted October 30, 2008 Andrew, Tom and I are keen for the whole car. We're cooking something up. Give him a text with how many benjamins we'd need. Oh, and buy Ray's white 4dr!!!!
QuickSilver 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 I was at Glenns today and I saw the car up on the hoist and had a good look. Its such a shame that it has to go out like this, it would be a fantastic car and has a HUGE amount of goodies in it! I couldn't believe what I was seeing with that parcel shelf, not to mentioned the wof issues.
