OSiRiS 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2009 What would this be worth? 1999 328CI I might be interested in buying this. Vehicle details * Make: BMW * Model: 328CI * Year: 1999 * Main colour: Silver * Vehicle type: Passenger Car/Van * Body style: Saloon * No of seats: 5 * CC rating: 2,790 * Fuel type: Petrol * Assembly type: Imported Built-Up * Country of origin: Germany 157,674 2008, August 20th WOF inspection 29.44/10,716 152,197 2008, February 16th WOF inspection 40.04/14,575 144,712 2007, August 13th WOF inspection 40.99/14,920 136,964 2007, February 5th WOF inspection 6.65/2,421 135,814 2006, August 16th WOF inspection 18.09/6,585 131,670 2005, December 30th WOF inspection 25.69/9,351 126,893 2005, June 27th WOF inspection 37.99/13,828 111,850 2004, May 27th WOF inspection 13.67/4,976 111,809 2004, May 24th WOF inspection 25.36/9,231 106,736 2003, November 6th WOF inspection 27.02/9,835 96,359 2002, October 18th WOF inspection no travel for 8 days 96,359 2002, October 10th WOF inspection 41.49/15,102 88,560 2002, April 5th WOF inspection no travel for 133 days 88,560 2001, November 23rd border check "got a $2800 exhaust jst done k&n cold air box imported from the states $900 and electromotive tech3 tuneable ecu $2600. whole car is mint photos taaken at one of ow rentals. immaculate condition all work done by official bmw dealer." Seller has also told me that the motor has only done 8,000km on it. He took it to a full service and when he got it back they didn't put coolant in the radiator, causing him to cook the engine. After they took the workshop to court BMW fitted a new motor. Seller also has told me he has all receipts. What are your thoughts?
pjay 8 Report post Posted February 18, 2009 If its a Genuine new Engine. Id look at 20 if I was the owner Have a plate you may be interested in if you purchase this car. PM me if interested [ 328 CI ]
jjs 64 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 If its a Genuine new Engine. Id look at 20 if I was the owner $20k??? It has still done 150 odd kms - the engine may be new but everything else has done 150km. I also doubt they would have fitted a brand new engine. I wouldn't go over $15k for the one you have listed. Check out this NZ new manual example for around the $15k mark - IMHO a much better option.
bravo 35 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 I was thinking somehwere in between the above two. You can pick up 330i's without some of the toys that one has for that money, so I'd say its roughly on par price wise with them. If it was f/l and lower kms, then you may be up the $20k+ mark. Driftit 2078 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Horrible non genuine wheels and gross bodykit would put it under $15K. Especially when you look at the manual one listed above as a comparison.
jochen 4 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Not very well specced, doesn't even have a MFL
pjay 8 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Hence why I said if I was the owner.. As in getting every dollar I possibly could. Seller also has told me he has all receipts. If there are receipt's for a brand new engine... Then as the owner I would price at 20. Feel free to negotiate as a buyer

jku 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 She is a beauty! worth a lot, I'd say at the 20k mark at the least. The 8,000 km engine if installed properly, would give this car years and years of reliable motoring. When they installed the engine, it would be ideal if all the engine sensors were brand new as well. What would this be worth? 1999 328CI I might be interested in buying this.
