fuzyfrog 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) I did get a good deal. Handles corners really nice and with the few mods its got it goes well in a straight line aswell.Cant wait to get out on Ruapuna. Very responsive in any gear. Has a Turner chip ? Googled it and found there site Horsepower Gain + 22 @ 6000 RPM Torque Gain + 20 @ 4000 RPM New Rev Limit 7000 RPM Anybody had experiance with these and are these claims true ? pjay 8 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Nice. Chuck her on the Dyno. Rev limit should be higher than that factory? My 328i revs all the way to 7500 rpm. No chip or anything I really love the way she looks from the back! Real nice stance and presence.. But then again, I love most sheilas from behind
Mark 178 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Nice find mate, I rang up about that car myself. Passed on it eventually cos I couldn't get a BMW dealer to look at it being in Blenheim in all. Looks like it's a nice example though. Bet the drive back to CHCH was fun!
Guest Simon* Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Hi dude Welcome! Nice looking E36 - looks really hot in white with black trim and tints. I remember it from trademe, it has the unusual front lip. Anyway, enjoy your car and your time on bimmersport. Where are you from?
bravo 35 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Looks good. Identically styled to a friend of mine in Queenstown. His is a 325i in auto though, so yours wins!

Body kit is all Racing Dynamics as is the strut braces etc Hey welcome to the CHCH crew! Hope to see you at our next organized event. As for BMW servicing / mechanical work my recommendations are as follows: "No frills" but great work (competitively priced) see "Canterbury Automotive" (ask for Naz) OR "Chester Graham" (ask for James). "All the customer service i.e. wash your car after etc.. + huge workshop" (you pay for it!) see "Hampton Honda" (ask for Jason) OR "BMW Dealers on Manchester St." (don't know anyone there personally). I am sure if you mention that "Atta sent you" they should sort you out with a good deal. Have dealt with all of these guys quite a bit and still do. Other option is D I Y ! fuzyfrog 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 Well i didnt end up selling it. Fixed everything and got a WOF/Reg... 3k later.. Ouch Now i have to decide if I V8 or Turbo it.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted December 27, 2011 (edited) Glad you're keeping it! After doing my V8 conversion I'd say it would be better HP value to turbo your car..... depends on how serious you want to go though. Then again if I wanted a turbo E36 I would probably just look at getting a fitting a Toyota 1JZ-GTE single turbo vvti... they are an amazing motor even stock! Main reason I went for the Toyota V8 was for the sound which is pretty good even with a stock 328i exhaust... ( see here Yotube clip ) Trouble is now after spending just shy of $10,000 on the V8 conversion I need to spend almost the same amount to finish it off right... I still have to overhaul the rear end with a better diff/axles and address the suspension setup... and then sort out the 4 speed auto to replace with a sporty quick change tiptronic 5 speed auto I have prepared.. then look at a custom engine ECU, and a better set of 4-2-1 headers.... $$$ Keeps things interesting though, rather than just having a car I just bought and drive.
