i have nolathane bushes all round, koni adjustable shocks, progressive heavier springs and stocks converted my original struts to adjustable height. Its a street car so i didnt want it to crazy. will be buying camber plates soon tho. Brake wise i am putting wilwood four pots with 304mm disks on the front.

You coming to the track on Thursday Sam? Ill show you how decent factory calipers on e30s can be, if its a road car I don't honestly think huge brakes are worth it

well im back from my trip to the states which was amazing. We rode 8500Km in 20 days from coast to coast and had many adventures along the way. the hottest day was 47*C in vegas!!

Anyway back to the bmw stuff.

THE BEAST RUNS! i had a radiator made and alll the oil cooler lines made etc. wiring is all finished and i now know what im doing for a master cylinder and booster after messiing around with a few things.

All the fluids have been changed etc new filters and A/C has been re gassed.

Fresh from the states is my wilwood parts for a kit im making.

Photos to come in the next day or two with a video if people are keen.

Stilll having diff problems though, its really holding me up. I bought a 2.93 med case diff out of an e28 525e but i cant get my lsd pack to fit.

anyone have any ideas as to what i can do?

Everthings pretty much done now i just have to fit the front brakes get the diff sorted, fit driveshaft, get exhause made then cert.

Sooooo keen.

Also when the next track day at ruapuna?

Trip sounds amazing Sam. I really mean f**king awesome :D

Those diffs can be quite a mission, hate to undermine you but a Diff specialist might be able to sort it.

And come for a ride in my car this weekend, it'll give you wonderful ideas about suspension :D

well its going to be about 2G once i get all the lines and brackets made up. But im making a few sets of lines and brackets to sell to work with the same calipers and discs. Pretty much i hope to be able to supply a complete bolt on kit

Very interesting, Hopefully this will work with 16s? I guess I could always try my wheels on your car

right time for an update, not much to update really though.

Driveshaft is now sorted and radiator after its 4th trip back to the shop is right.

My main question to people is regarding my diff.

I bought a e28 2.93 med case open diff and a 3.46 med case LSD. I have been trying everyone in the know in chch and no one can figure out how to combine the two. So i have attached a photo to show what the problem is.

The 2.93 gear is on the lsd pack, the 3.46 gear is now on the open pack.

notice how the 2.93 gear is thicker.. and also it sits up a lot higher (5mm) than the 3.46 gear.

you can see the gap between the 3.46 gear and the flange as to how much the 2.93 on the lsd sits up.

Hope that makes sense but does anyone know what i can do????

im at my wits end

Not quite sure whats up there. But obviously the LSD centre is wrong for your diff housing. The offset for the crown wheel is wrong

Have you tried assembling it? The 2.93 might be thicker if the matching pinion is a different size (smaller)? Am mentally struggling to see how smaller gives a taller ratio tho, so maybe I'm wrong.
