Dyl 4 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Having run the risk of being banned from this site if I don't publish photos of my newest acquisition, here we go, the pictures of my car. I have had an eclectic background with BMWs. My first was an e30 316i which now features stripped out on the e30 race circuit. Years later I got myself into a tidy little e36 318is. In 2006 I bought a stunning M323i now being lovingly cared for my Nick. Last year was the year of the e36 M3 but it was sold after it developed a seemingly irreconcilable engine misfire!?! So I crossed to the dark side and bought an Audi S3. What a car! And the missus loved it! Was that telling me something? Well, I couldn't drive a gay man's car now could I? Especially after I kept explaining to people, "It's not citrus, it's not baby yellow, it's IMOLLA!" My dream car had been and always has been an E30 M3. I sold the Audi and set out to import one from Japan. I soon came to sobering realisation that E30 M3s not only are hard to find anywhere, they are even more difficult to find in good condition - not being riddled with rust and not having been molested by brainless japanese men with big wallets and no sense. Fortunately a good keen man had done the work for me in Christchurch. A little more than I had hoped spending, but there it was, registered and origional with 37,000kms on the clock. After taking allot of advice from M3 owners (Ollie, Willie and Laurence - you guys are legends) I flew down and brought what was rightfully mine home. Yes, we have had teething problems as you'd expect from a car that has pretty much been in storeage since 1990 but she's running like a top and it is due time I share it with everyone here.
