Just took one for a drive out the back of silverdale. :finger:

all i can say is f**k! what a machine. :bowdown:

oh yeah i drove f**ken fast (valentine 1 and jammer) but wish i'd pushed it harder like past 250 on the straights and over 150 through (55km recomended) corners.

so what do you guys think of the RS4? and the new RS6 :mosh: :mosh:

Yeah my mates mum has an RS6 wagon, not current model anymore i dont think tho.... but still its one awesome car, we regularly try to killl ourselves in it on waiheke!! sounds nice too

Very very nice cars are the Audi wagons. I've been with mum driving at 200+ in 4th gear, I started to sh*t myself *and we were running out of road* so she pulled back.

are the rs4's the 2.7 twin turbo v6, or the 4.2 twin turbo v8?

i think they are limited to 250kph tho..

ummm i dunno i know that a s4 is a 2.7L twin turbs v6 so i think a rs4 is aswell just a bit faster .. bigger turbo or somthing

RS6 is also 4.2 V8 but with 2 turbos bolted on, 336 kW and 560 Nm.

Not sure about older model S4 or RS4

That's just stupid, what use is that in NZ where we're not allowed to go over 100kph legally except for track racing, and who here can afford to get one just for that purpose?

And in terms of speed, 200kph in an E30 is infinately more scarey than 200kph in a RSn

Audi's RS Series of cars are the worlds best. The RS2 if you can get your hands on one is the maddest (for it's time too). It was tweaked by Porsche properly.

RS6 is on my shopping list. 200kph in 4th. I'd expect better. My car will do that.

200kph in a new Alfa 156GTA isn't much fun either. No such thing as a front wheel drive sports car!

The older S4 is Twin Turbo 2.7 V6 - they haul ass. I want to buy mum a blow off valve for Christmas just for shits and giggles :thumb:

The RS4 has bigger turbos, more boost and is lower, and has a much wider body and kit on it. Recaro interior and flasher stereo - it should do when you pay $160K.

Followed (so he would cop the ticket) an Audi wagon back from Blenheim to Christchurch last year and we hauled a$$. Not sure what sort of wagon it was exactly, but we did the trip in 3 hours, 5 minutes. BP Blenheim to BP Papanui Road. Was a lot of fun, although I don't think other drivers were impressed as they were double-whammied on the over-take.

The Audi really moved, but then again, so did the M3.

i have seen a s4 2.7 bi-turbo v6 for $65000..yellow and very nice

my parents love em, but i think the bmw 3 series diesels will get the best of them..

That is very correct, experienced it first hand .... the guy following me got caught rather than me ..

On the ticketing thing the police hawk radars can take 3 reading for 3 targets simultaneously.. about the only thing you can do (if the police car is facing you and moving) is stand on your brakes as the radar cannot get a fix if the target is decelerating quickly.

You then have to convince the officer that you braked to avoid the cat that ran accross the road infront of you....

That maybe true but there is only one of them and they can only catch one person, as for the quickly deceleration thing, they can still get a reading ...

so............ the owner of the rs4 i drove just lost his license for speeding, so his son (my mate) had to drop him off in it, apparently it did some serious 4wd drifts so dunno bout that understeer thing, (atleast not with traction control off) . somehow the valentine 1 and radar jammer let him down! also my friend has an escort passport bla bl bla radar detector and also got a ticket. kinda puts me off radar detectors aye they are a false sense of security eh.
