damn, after dismantling my gearbox out of my 635 csi to replace the bearings ,I am now told BMW no longer stocking parts for obsolete models . Cant scource them anywhere else even Getrag not interested .Still cant blame them , all other manufactureres long since stopped stocking old model parts . Guess bowing to worldwide government pressure to have us all driving new computerised ,disposable boxes on wheels .At least the yanks have enough demand to support an aftermarket buisness remaking everything for old chevs & Fords .Maybe I will buy a old Mustang next .Luckily I kept all old bearings so can put it back together .

The older BMWs are a little bit harder to get parts for, sometimes you have to make your own...

Have you tried bearing suppliers like SKF or Saeco ??? They might not have them all here in NZ, but they will sorce them for you. Just give them the bearing numbers or bearing measurements.

Worth a try

Auckland Bearings- Glenfield

Try these guys- my uncle is the Sales and Marketing manager and is pretty clued up on such things....

I'm reasonably sure that they can get any bearing of any size for anything

did you ring the guys suggested? or are you just given up dealing with specialist parts companies. Bearing companies want the business and should be able to offer you some advice as to where to get them.
