E36 coupe windows

Recommended Posts

Had a look at an E36 coupe, the drivers door window drops as it should when the door opens and shuts again, but then at completely random times will open and close repeatedly. Only 5mm or so as it's supposed too, but noisy and annoying. Easy fix? Cheap? Expensive? Cheers.

Could be channel slide clips, regulator, window guides or motor. Coupe doors give alot of problems with there windows. Needs checking properly

Thanks Glenn, will keep that in mind. Assume if I allow $3-400 it should be enough?

To clarify, it's just the noise of the window going up and down repeatedly, no strange grinding noises or anything like that, just an electrical whir as it goes up and down. Over and over and over. . . . . . . .
