das new e28

Recommended Posts

Just picked it up yesterday. '85 528i motorsport. 5 Speed manual, LSD, recaros, etc. Goes okay but I do want to put the 3.5 in it sometime soon. I also want to get it a bit lower, so if anyone has lowering springs for an e28, or knows where I can get some, let me know!

Thought I would post up some first shots I just took today in the rain... as soon as it clears up and I find a nice place, I will take some decent photos!

Nice car, wonder what the seller will do when i bid and it meets reserve, he should've withdrawn it but probably doesn't wanna pay the fees. Pisses me off.

Meh, I do that all the time. I'm guessing he will do it soon, he seemed like a rather busy guy.

I'm thinking of taking the side skirts off... they just dont really do it for me... anyone know how hard it is to do? Cant be that hard.

They would look fine if they were balanced out with a m-tech front bumper :)

As I said before, I love it.

Turbo M30, cheaper, faster, more reliable. Win, win, win.

I couldnt agree more mate, but its a dog eat dog world and if you want something enough just have to get stuck in there.

I saw the 318is on trademe, phoned him straight away, went to see it two hours later and made an offer on the spot, conditional on him taking it off the auction. If Id waited for the auction to finish I probably wouldnt own it now because the amount I paid is just criminal ;)

[e] Sorry Mark, meant to say good job a cracking car that needs the front spoiler to finish it off :)

Yep, I think even the normal black front lip would make it look better.

I'm thinking I'll take the kit off, if it looks good I'll stick with it off, if I feel it would look better with a full kit, I'll save up and get the front mtech piece.

awesome car! must be extremely different driving that compared to the e36.

It's kinda like driving a bouncy castle compared to the 36.

Hopefully a bit of drop will fix this.

those side skirts and rear skirt are zender or bbs type not the mtec type .

you should see a label at the ends of teh skirts.

my silver car has the mtec type .

to sort the handling just fit some new shocks , and maybe stiffer sway bars to stop the roll

it doesn't handle too bad, it handles kinda like old e30 did before i replaced the springs with lower ones, made a huge difference.

Because S38's are easy to come by, and cheap enough for the average uni student to afford.
