isis 16 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Looking good, get handy with polish did we! Do want light, mine feels like I have been locked in a pantry. It was polished when i bought it, but spend a week manually polishing it & waxing so it shines! I couldn't justify the lighted rear view mirror $$, hence the mod been wanting to do the passenger side as well but dont really want to hack the glove box.. daaam another nice touring! Black on black is hot as, put those rims on and drop it! will drop it in due course. i'm just spending the dosh on behind the scenes maintenance stuff dont want it to low either as this is meant to be a work horse to carry crap.. are you nocturnal? mint touring, would be great to see some daytime photos day time pics will show too many imperfections on the paint job
_BRS_ 209 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 I couldn't justify the lighted rear view mirror $$, hence the mod been wanting to do the passenger side as well but dont really want to hack the glove box.. how much have you spent on the cabin lighting?i just picked up a maplight mirror... was expensive ... but couldn't resist it
SIR E30 68 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Id be keen to know more about this lighting
isis 16 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 i've picked up the light modules off an e36 & retrofitted it to the e30 by utilising the door switch jam so that it lights up when you open the door & shuts when you close the door. the only bad thing about it is that there isn't an off/on switch on the light. there is a light delay module that i'd like to retrofit so that the lights softens as soon as you shut the door - like the new beemers. This little relay cost about 100+ i've seen a guys make em in the US for about $40...on the wish list
