Mark 178 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 They did... but not a VR4... just a fettled 4G63 NA engine. AMG Galant I had a 4G63 galant as one of my first cars.... loved it, always wanted the AMG version, looks really stealth.
Apex 693 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 I can’t find any info on it but they did do a Gen 1 VR4 AMG, it was one of the last cars and biased on the “super†VR4, it was Black, had Black and silver wheels and specific AMG steering wheel, bagging and other aesthetics, it wasn’t mechanically any different than a regular “super†VR4. |ncary 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 Honda make amazing cars for the FF layout they have. And NSXs destroy M3s in every way possible. Thanks Aryton. It's just too bad a lot of the culture that surrounds them in western countries is quite, how could I say... ...homax.

Mark 178 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 One soaking wet evening I was driving to a mates house and some guy in a black Levin with Advanti 5 spoke 17's and a fart can pulled up next to me at the lights. I noticed his mega-skank girlfriend in the front seat (not for good reasons either). He started parping his 4AGE at me furiously, then motioned to race. I gave it a few blips and when the light turned green he dumped the clutch at close to redline and because it was wet, started the fronts spinning on the spot. I casually took off, changed into 2nd and gave it a nudge, while he's snaking all over the road and changing gears trying to get traction. He pulls up next to me at the next set of lights and says "Bro, what the f**k you got in that thing, it's a beast!" He looked pretty pissed when I said "it's all bog standard buddy" Damn ricers. Forrest 35 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 Just saw the ultimate BMW ricer fail in the CBD. What looked like a plain jane e36 318i with the black lower plastic bumpers + sides, led chrome headlights posted a few pages back, chrome tail lights, factory 14' alloys and the piste de resistance - one of those shark fin antennas used on e60 5 series etc, etc it was stuck on the roof with a small led on the back to be used as a brake light. Ultimate fail.

kiwi535 538 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 ^ Didn't mean to cause offence Apex or anyone else, I still think there is a bit of a 'upper class' society on here of those people who don't like people who modify their cars in certain ways but each to their own is the way to look at it. I am all for subtle modifications, nothing too over the top as doing a 'ricer mod' would suggest. and there are prolly those who dislike our efforts to keep our cars as they left the factory. |ncary 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 he drives a useless POS FWD. Those FWD Levins are far from useless, you dolt, they have amazing suspension geometry and a light, balanced chassis with a fun engine that puts out substantial power for it's size and weight. Front wheel drives are where you learn everything you need to know about driving, I spent 5 years in 4 different FWD's and mastered the things. Do you have your trail braking and weight transfer techniques sussed?? Don't be such a RWD fanboi, RWD is no where near the pinnicle of driving (but you don't do much driving do you skidder?). Go take a MR2 for a proper thrash at your current skill levels to see what I mean. Man I am a cock on the internet, LOVE IT.

I cut my teeth on a MKII Escort with a well worked and healthy 1600 xflow. It was on 155 biscuits and I had plenty of gravel roads at my disposal. That car taught me untold about tail happy RWD car control. My next car was a mini 1000s toting a 1275 with rejetted twin su's. The overgrown go-cart taught me immeasurable things about FWD handling, as did the next car, a 1500cc alfasud. Years (and 30 something FWD+RWD cars) later, when i bought my first AWD (wrx) i discovered i had yet more skills to learn due to the different dynamics of AWD. they all have their pluses and minuses, but to state that any particular drivetrain layout may or may not be the pinnacle of driving is really more than a little silly. BTW, how many FWD drivers do you know, that actually know what there car has in the way of factory performance? That guy in the Levin, probably doesnt know a thing about his car anymore than I do. So before having a snap at me, maybe find this guy & see if he can tell you about it. I dont know crock about it, cos it doesnt interest me...nuff said.
