Mark 178 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 Two more mega-rice things I have seen just this morning: 1) Tilted number plates (especially on smoothed over bootlids with the tilted plate recess) 2) Recaro seat covers! Hahaha! Does that material make all the difference keeping you sitting tight through the twisties douchebag?
AN E30 Fan 1 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 Incary is just at the pinnacle of driving perfection, That we will never achieve. One day you will accept this and bow to his superior knowledge Shady. Until then, Do a phat skid boe. Lol hahahaha
kingkarl 136 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.ph...4622&ref=nf Sadly.. I kind of like how that looks!... feel free to ban me, I deserve it. Both agree and disagree. I cut my teeth on a MKII Escort with a well worked and healthy 1600 xflow. It was on 155 biscuits and I had plenty of gravel roads at my disposal. That car taught me untold about tail happy RWD car control. MkII's are soo awesome. I wonder what Incary does better. Driving or talking himself up?
pjay 8 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 Yeah that pimp SHOW car that Emily posted is fine. Another example of show, and NOT rice. Will my strut brace be rice if I paint it fluro yellow? And my brake calipers too? Or is that ok.. Either way, I'ma do it. Its JDM yo!

|ncary 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 they all have their pluses and minuses, but to state that any particular drivetrain layout may or may not be the pinnacle of driving is really more than a little silly. Dirt is certainly the best way to learn from a young age, tearing up back roads and farm tracks in all kinds of vehicles, but these days there are too many city kids with pyscho cars with no idea what car control is. I respect anyone who has rally/a few years of back road gravel experience. A tarmac track and Auckland roundabouts can only teach you so much. And regarding drivetrain layouts, would you not agree that mastering a FF takes less experience than mastering a MR or RR? It may be due to the fact that pretty much every car on the road has a engine at the front and people know how to drive them, then get overwhelmed when in a Porsche slide off a corner backwards. But still, a MR car is faster, you need to pre-cache every move you make and be ultimately smooth, it's a different level. Oh and James, look up the meaning of 'persona'. And that Summit vid is nothing/slow/pathetic, I'll dedicate the track day vid I'll be making next week to you.

Apex 693 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 and there are prolly those who dislike our efforts to keep our cars as they left the factory. It costs more to keep a Euro car factory mint than it does to modify. Two more mega-rice things I have seen just this morning: 1) Tilted number plates (especially on smoothed over bootlids with the tilted plate recess) 2) Recaro seat covers! Hahaha! Does that material make all the difference keeping you sitting tight through the twisties douchebag? Tilted number plates are like wearing your cap to the side, its super cool. Just got back from a 7 hour drive in my POS FWD, would not have been able to keep easy pace in any RWD I have driven
e30plz 1 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 I think since Emily has decided every Honda on the face of the earth is a ricer, And Incary has displayed how awesome he is at driving, This thread should be a JDM Appreciation thread. Homax techno included. Does anyone consider these rice?
Apex 693 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 Yep, like them a lot, prefer the Hatchback to the sedan.. One thing I thought strange about them is the top spek SIR had hub caps and steel wheels stock, almost as if they knew people would swap out the stock wheels no matter what. It’s funny how some BMW drivers are mocking Honda’s, if BMW were a Japanese company they would be Honda, so many things both companies have in common. ... but I can see why we all hate that guy who holds his car just off V-Tec next to you and then slams it engaging V-TEC like some king of turrets explosion all over Layton’s face
e30plz 1 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 ... but I can see why we all hate that guy who holds his car just off V-Tec next to you and then slams it engaging V-TEC like some king of turrets explosion all over Layton’s face Yes, But BMW have their ricers just as Honda do.Tool in his teggy on cuttiez hitting Vtec past you, Is equal to = Tool in his 318i on cut springs and vault chromes. deane30 30 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 My first car was a 1985 Civic Si with the CRX engine. It was completely stock and ugly as hell but I still miss driving it. So much fun, very comfortable, sweet sporty interior and surprisingly fast.
antony 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 My friends got a nicely modified Honda Torneo SIR. I like it. Takes it to the track to. Those NZhonda boys, hate all the same stuff we do.
antil33t 90 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) I borrowed a Gen5 Prelude, TypeS... 220HP FWD... completely stock. Was the probably the most fun car I driven for longer than a day. Edited September 12, 2009 by antil33t
CamB 48 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 I borrowed a Gen5 Prelude, TypeS... 220HP FWD... completely stock. Was the probably the most fun car I driven for longer than a day. That's what I had, except in a 200+ kg lighter shell (an EG Civic) and with decent suspension. So mint!

Shady 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 Rule #1) unless you have big impressive brakes don’t paint them bright colours, especially if you’re running three up rim size. Painted drums are ok, shows you have a sense of humour. I painted all my brakes gloss black cos they were old rusty coloured. You say "bright colours" are rice...so Black isnt? JiB 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 ^ Sounds good, Do you have any pics? Pics would be betterer than a description. 'Cos when you describe it - it sounds pretty homax - It was purple, with a carbon bonnet and gold wheels (Had an awesome stance though, hella flush wheel fitment). I lol at the rush of Honda love all of a sudden. Suddenly it's cool to hate on the haters. I'm a hater hater too, I had a Honda with all the factory rice - red interior, red calipers, big wing, bodykit, big white wheels, fart cannon, the lot. Loved it, but was too expensive to race/cage.
