DrphTa 5 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 The car looks stunning mate. I'm not at all a fan of painted trim bits like the M3 front lip, and I always facepalm when I see a painted rear diffuser. They came black from factory to stand out in a subtle way and painting them makes them blend in IMO kinda defeats the purpose of a M3 bumper but that's my 2c. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out with the wheels and lowering! Estoril Blue ftmfw! You have me all wrong, the rear diffuser has actually faded. Can be seen in one of the pictures above. What i meant by paint was re-paint black lol. Have decided on the lip and it will be going back to black.Cheers mate
greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 All good man. All I can think about when someone says painting the rear diffuser is the crackup as dakar one that used to be on trade me with the painted diffuser. Looked soooo bad!
Greg111 13 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 Agree with you Nick, painted diffusers body colour don't go down well. I repainted my front lip as it had a few stone chips etc, two coats of gloss black and 18 coats of clear Came up real well. In saying that, the blue looks ok but black just makes it stand out. huff3r 347 Report post Posted March 25, 2010 Cheers guys! Yea, the wing is growing on me but I love the sleek look. Still have to put the bimmersport sticker on! Sleek look is good, but that wing is better! Really suits the car and especially the colour IMO. Sleek suits more plain colours, dark and light ones i reckon.. Greg111 13 Report post Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) Took my Schnitzer spoiler off when i first purchased mine, completely changes the look in a bad way, they need it when doing 250kph anyway Useless fact of the day, any spoiler on the back of a car comes into play at speeds exceeding 160kph, if the spoiler is big enough that is. Again, car looks great, awsome colour. Edit: I hate it how the coolant bottles always go orangy yellow after time, might replace mine when i do the coolant. Edited March 25, 2010 by Greg. I dont think ill ever get it on the track, so to me at the moment the spoiler is just for looks lol. Haha yea, I might buy a new one. The orange in the engine bay makes everything look older
DrphTa 5 Report post Posted March 26, 2010 if its a 3.2 why the 3.0 grill or did that come later im confusedMentioned it earlier in the update. A few clips were broken on the original grill, this one was the only one i could find at the time. Im thinking ill go back to the other shape in black. I dont really like how it sticks out (no offence to the 3.0L owners!)
