Stephen Gerard Versalko, 52, married with three children, lived the high life for nine years after scalping $17,763,110 off 26 wealthy ASB clients. SFO prosecutor Patrick McCann said Versalko had paid $3.4m to two female Auckland prostitutes over the course of the nine years. I've done the math, and on average, he was spending $7300 a week for nine years!!! Makes you wonder how many rich prostitutes must be out there with weekly incomes like that. The guy's a nymph. If someone breaks into your car, most of you comment that you'd like to break their legs (or similar exaggerated claim of violence). And that's just for a few hundred/thousand dollars worth of damage/theft. Imagine how the victims feel. The guy's a dirty thief. He's admitted it. The details don't matter with regard to the fact he's still scum and deserves to be treated like it. I feel sorry for his family who it seems had absolutely no clue and who are going to have quite a tumultuous time. The wife must be beside herself. He will spend years in prison and his name is ruined. In comparison, Mark Hotchin ruined the lives countless people and yet he is sitting pretty in Paratai Drive. I feel sorry for his family etc ... but if he stole 19 million dollars (regardless of who it was from) he should be stripped of all his assets and/or made to work in a chain gang the rest of his life to pay it back. If the bank is insured, everyone else will have to pay for this crime through higher insurance premiums because insurance companies will have to come up with the money from somewhere to pay the claim. The guy is a bank robber whether he broke into the vault or did it electronically. He is a criminal. His actions have caused pain for family members but surely they must have noticed that the $15m he siphoned off (apart from the hookers) being spent on toys and property. I'm sure I read that one of the hookers was blackmailing him real bad if Lisa Lewis' prices are anything to go by, I'm sure it would be very easy to spend that amount of money I wont post a link to her site because it's R18 her price for one night (7 hours) is $7,000 I think that may be on the rather high side of pricing though (I wouldn't have a clue) ... but I would imagine if someone was willing to spend a few million on hookers that they would get high class high cost hookers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
