nathancraigforsyth 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Ok, before I ask this I want to ensure you guys that I won't be trying to hit the limiter; I have another car for that sort of shenanigans. JDM vehicles have the self imposed limit of 180k, do Jap assembled E36's also share that limiter? Pure curiosity here
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Not that I am aware...I've never struck one. Rev limiter only, not speed

Palazzo 477 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 No idea Seeing as we are asking, Does anybody know the top speed of a 325i I know mine will go off the clock which is supposedly 260 Must be the M Sport model. Autocar tested one in the UK on a closed track and got 227km/h, factory manual says 233km/h from memory.

dirtydoogle 383 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 No idea Seeing as we are asking, Does anybody know the top speed of a 325i I know mine will go off the clock which is supposedly 260 On a closed private stretch of tarmac I have seen an indicated 225 in an E36 325i and an indicated just above 210 in an E36 320i. But, these are both indicated speeds. Both were Jap spec cars so I highly doubt they have a speed limiter.Must be the M Sport model. Autocar tested one in the UK on a closed track and got 227km/h, factory manual says 233km/h from memory.M-sport isn't any faster is it? Yeah, factory manual does say around that for one. fuzyfrog 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) Who said its standard... As for the speedo being out. I dont doubt its not accurate above about 220. I also have no doubt that the car will do 150mph with ease. Edited May 25, 2010 by fuzyfrog
