Heino 1 Report post Posted September 15, 2010 I saw this photo of a e36 on google with a shaved bonnet and it inspired me to do it. so i looked around on trademe for a second hand bonnet. and only founf ones for around the 200 mark but then came across this ruggerd one for 50 bux. it had 2 dents and some alot of paint peal but aslong as it was structuraly sound i didnt care. went and bought the bonnet, and saved ten bux so got it for 40 bux which i thought wasnt to bad. i went to repco and bought some K&H KAHGLASS *reinforced body filler* and some regular filler with a can of primer. Equipment: -Sander - with different grained sandpaper -primer -reinforced body filler -normal filler for finishing. -K&H wax and grease remover -sanding block -Dry clothe. When my mates bogged up & painted my car, the bog in the badge hole fell out cos the idiots didnt sand it to bare metal - bogged ontop of paint - so had no chance to last.
