Alpina anyone?

Recommended Posts

So the car is/isn't a genuine Alpina? If it is, this is the car I've been holding off for for years & to see that it's been fkn withdrawn kinda pisses me off.

I've been pestering Kento to purchase his and still got the big denied even after offering him 20k - even though that car isn't a genuine Alpina.

I've even got TM to send me Aplina auctions every week - somehow this one didnt' come up.

Took this for a drive on Sat.

Has Alpina c2/2 150hp engine(stamped) 373 lsd.

Goes like a cut cat-way quicker than a 325

Tourist delivery by original NZ owner.

I believe it it genuine but not fully speccd

ie has motorsport suspension, stock exhaust-I thought Alpina did their own

Alpina ecu

FSH from new

Overall in good condition-jst needs a little cosmetic work & eventually a respray

I think someone has got a great buy-I could have got it for 7500 on the spot

Hey Mark, 150HP but faster than a 325i please explain..

Please tell me it wasn't that good..To justify me not having bought it.

150bhp is less than a stock 325i, I think they are more like 150kw.

To set you all straight. The engine in this M325i is an Alpina C2/2 which is 150 kW (201 bhp).

What Mark ment was that it produced 150kW, not bhp.

Saw this today, now owned by an older dude, not a forum hack, who knew?

Never saw the auction, but based on spec, everyone wishing to own an M325i should have bitten his arm off at 7.5K

Only just saw this thread, but love the conjecture - if we're being picky, there is no RHD E30 Alpina that is genuine, they just didn't do them. but on the other hand, it's got an alpina stamped block and the digital vent gauge - how much more genuine does it need to be?

Definitely came from an approved Alpina agent at some point, if its from the UK, definitely Birds, if it's from around here, the guys in australia?

Anyone get a VIN number? I'll run it at work to see if it's been through us at some stage.

I thought it was a reasonably fair price at 7.5k? has all the goodies one would want.

Fk you guys need to learn to read.

It was tourist delivery ex Germany by the original NZ owner.

Has a sticker in the boot to prove it

Just spoken to Mark (1Rotty) and yes he is a bit pissed that he didn't buy it. He had asked for time to research the numbers but was to late. He should have brought it coz at $7,500 it was still a good buy even if it turned out to be just an E30 M325 TechII especially with a B3 motor.

Why didnt the seller take pics of something proving it too be a genuine alpina tweeked car?

I emailed Alpina australia asking if they knew any details about it, as in all in all it looked like every other "badge engineered" BMW alpina/M3/ACS that every monkey with some superglue and a tardme account owns.

With some better details of the cars history, and some proof of alpinaness, he couldve got well over 7.5k for it. Guy who bought it got a deal ;)

LOL yeah i am a bit -own fault but you win some, you lose some.

I do get tired of some of the ridiculous speculation some of those with little or no knowledge indulge in tho.
