what do you mean by that?

Generally a starting price would be lower than what you want for an item, not higher?

Agreed! Bizzare way of selling a vehicle in an auction process.

I'd understand if it was an 8k asking price.

thats why u said hes negotiable on price..

But it's an auction

What sort of money do you boys reckon this is worth? 4-5K??

I'm quite keen on it but not at this price, esp for a 318 auto...but is a very tidy wee car.

I've had mine on trademe for almost two months now. Started asking for 6.5k and have dropped to 5.5k but not much interest which suggests either no one wants them or price is too high.

Mine is similar spec and condition http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=308311419

i can vouch for the mintness of this car, it does look amazing on the road

however i agree with ^^^ it wouldnt be worth more than 5k if that! IMO it is after all a 318i auto...

if you were to buy this car it would be mainly for the rims ;)

Agree with all that's been said above. I'm sure we're all expert E30 trainspotters now :P

I wouldn't pay anything for it, mainly because the only thing that interests me there are the rims. Auto 318is don't light my fire.

lol I've only just realised this is a 318i Auto. I automatically thought that for >8k it would be a 325i.

I love it how the word "cruiser" means slow and gutless lol

Looks tidy as, but it's still an auto 1.8, so I wouldn't pay more than 4k for it.

What it needs is a b25 and three pedals, then he might get closer to his asking price?

Just out of interest, who's is it?

 Not quite, It's been on for a few months how it is now and I have dropped my price.

If you can't take constructive criticism, maybe you shouldn't be here?

Anyway, cheer up buddy, we're only trying to help! ^_^

In my opinion, $4000 top, should know you never get what you put into a car back. Not my cup of tea but looks tidy, glws. my 2c.

I like it. good candidate for a swap tbh.

I always thought an Eta powered E30 would make teh best cruiser.
