deeveus 81 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 Question, how do I tell if mine has it? Reason I ask is that I'm heading up to Tauranga early next year to bring back a rather heavy boat back to Dunedin. The self leveling suspension is handy (as in my first 4.4i X5) for towing because it sorted out the tounge load and didn't give you that ass down, heads up feeling when travelling on the open road with a heavy load. Cheers.

Silver Fox 43 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 ABS don't have lines as such Andy, just wires and sensors in the wheel hub, the abs unit is in the engine bay and controls the brakes from there.
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 oh really? i know the concept of ABS and what it does, but i dont really know HOW it does it. right off to HowStuffWorks.com haha.
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 Generally the rear shocks will be quite large with self leveling. Another test is to get everyone to sit in the boot while the car is running. Haha.
