I've had a week off work.

note: no two sides of the fiber glass products are the same. very time consuming.

thanks Glen,

its the small things that take the most time,

the fitting and refitting to check that it fits and looks right .

down to the last cut and measure on most things now..

drives and moves under its own power. This was a big moment for me as I'd had trouble with the clutch but now sorted.

Not perfect but on its way.

so after 3 weekend of sanding, priming ,sanding basecoat, sanding I'm ready to......" lay down a real colour".

to be honest the fiber glass moulds were real rough with deep scratches in them and spider cracks that only showed up once I put the etch primer on the parts.

I'm not a 100% happy but are starting to run out of time.

The joys of working with fibreglass, very hard to get a quality fit and finish.

Looks great though Rich, good job.

I have to remind myself every time I go into the garage that its a go car not a show car. Hoping some stickers will break it up abit.

if you make it look too shiny you wont want to push it hard in case it gets dirty!

Had my first race last weekend, all ended well.

new list of mods........

diff changing to a 4.27 lsd.

adjust shocks and swaybay rears, front feel ok'ish...

cut/ hammer inner rear guard edge as there's a slight rub. Don't want to ruin my new rubber.

tidy up wiring

Great to see you have had it out on the track.  Looking forward to seeing it - assume will you be running at Taupo in November?

How did the change feel? And medium or large case? Do you swap out the whole diff or just the cw&p?

Don't know yet haven't given it to Kayne yet. He's just swapping out the internals and fitting LSD. Its a Medium case.

Hello stranger:D

yip feels good to get it on the track. There's been a few niggles along the way but that's to be expected.

Got the diff back the other day just waiting for some muscle to lift it back into place.

aiming for 9 December next hour endro.

how's yours coming along.

well the diffs in place now and I've dropped it 15mm using the coil overs( can see FA difference) which is about as far as I want to go for now. Too many changes and ill get lost with settings.

I'm toying with the idea of using the old tyres for one more meet before I fit the new ones.

pics for reference

update...

pukekohe  last month saw a great weekend of racing. On the old track.

while  I am sorting out some small niggles I did manage a 1.10.9 still plenty more in the car , its just me that's letting the team down.

things I did...

new diff ratio and LSD preformed fantastic.

dropped the rear 15mm and tightened up the rear sway bar.

new tires. This all made the car fell more settled on the track.

things that failed.....

alternator wouldn't charge until it was doing 4krpm (now fixed $368) thanks Glen

rear tires rub not by much so will cut an extra 20mm out of the wheel arch.

Accelerator linkage/cable at the peddle box which brings me to todays post. I don't normally get jealous of other guy work trades but sometimes I wish I could use a lathe/mill machine. I needed a part made up and went and seen a mate who knocked up this pin with clip. cant buy them and the original was too long by 7mm and kept catching.
