DrphTa 5 Report post Posted January 4, 2012 Hey guys, Have a lovely noise coming from the rear/driveshaft area. Sounds like the driveshaft isnt "mating" properly. Upon inspection I found this crack which I cannot explain what it is for. It connects via the diff by one bolt and onto (what looks like) the rear bracket cover on the axle or diff. It has a bush between the two mounting points so one could say it absorbs the torque from the driveshaft via the diff? Anyone tell me exactly what it is? *Glenn* 854 Report post Posted January 4, 2012 You'll be needing a new or second hand rear subframe. But I think you'll find there is more to this than just the broken front diff mount. DrphTa 5 Report post Posted January 5, 2012 To be honest I think I have cracked it from the H&R springs. They are quite stiff. Thanks for the knowledge guys, I appreciate it.
