caim 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, im new to bmws and im wanting to slam a e36. Im wondering what suspension to go with (prefer something in NZ so that I wont have to deal with shipping) that will go LOW and stay captive (for certification etc) This is my previous ride, a 93 EG6 Civic. This was on gen1 D2s and the front and back were captive (even got a cert at this height) I know bc golds go this low on hondas, not too sure about bmws? I found a couple of pictures of the similar height id like: http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq273/k...8_6329580_n.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/65624322@N04/...82857/lightbox/ So far im thinking BC golds? Iv been told they should get this low but im wanting to confirm before I spend that much money. Thanks for any help Edited January 23, 2012 by caim

Ben 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 why dont you measure how low you want teh guards to be and then check specs on available adjustables. If thats not low enough make shortened front struts and use shorter shocks in the rear

Gaz 1056 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 Yea but SLABS used to run on cutties. I've some BC Golds too and from my research the fronts so lower than you will ever need but the rears go low but not low enough for some people. Mainly Stanceworks people haha. I havent put mine in yet, hopefully I will in the next couple of weeks.
samo455 7 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 1 thing to think of first if your going to slam it is to install the rear sub frame reinforcement kit none progressive coils have a tendency of ripping the sub frame mounts out of the floor very messy wish i was warned of this in the end got the ass of mine slamed on comy irs dobi supper low also spacing the rear subframe slams it some more but camber gets bad and diff gets kinda low havent got the front as low tho

My diff fell out but that was from kicking the clutch like an epileptic
